Many people use 16 guage wire for 1/12th scale. While I've seen a few solder directly to the battery, most racers like to use a bent battery bar to hardwire to. I use a cut down dean's bar.

odpruple: do you just cut it in half? if so how do you attach the wires then?

Never mind I just saw the pictures

is the smaller wire used for clearance issues?

Wow, is this a carbon fiber rear axle? Anyone know where I can get one?

Not sure what you are asking. I do cut them in half, then solder them to the battery. Then the battery wire just gets soldered onto the little tab sticking up. With today's low bodies you can't really have anything sticking up higher that the batteries.

That looks like a Reimon axle. It's pretty cool, I think it's hollow; it has a neat little aluminum plug on the end. I think they are only available in Japan.

Check out the body posts, those are woven carbon fiber tubes like the axle, also made by Reimon.

For weight, clearance and the increased flexibility keeps the wire from interfering with pod movement.

What's a good airtronics or futaba servo for 1/12? I'm looking for fast decent torque. How much torque is generally needed in 1/12? Due to speed and traction I'd think it would be more than most think??

Airtonics 94145

I've run both the Airtronics 94145 and the Futaba 9602. Both great servos that are made for 1/12th scale. Currently I'm running the Futaba, but I have no preference.

Thanks guys.

I really like the 9602 and I'm always on the look out for another to go in one of my cars.

Chris.

I see there are a few people advertising them but am unsure what difference putting them on my car would make ??

Thanks in advance

Rod
