If you can still find one...Holeshot made a great front end alignment tool for pan cars that was really simple to use and worked great. I still have one but I don't think they've made it in a few years now.

the new 1/12th we are working on has free forward pivoting rear pod that isloates the side spring tension and the compression spring tension similar to a link car but we use fiberglass flex plates to give the side spring tesnion of a t plate to give the feel of a t plate but the car will take the bumpy sections like a link car.overall i felt it had a better feel than a t bar car with also being able to take some harsh bumps without becoming unsettled.

I just got back from my Northwest Indoor Series Race in Tri-Cities Wa. It was a little more of a tallented crowd then I was used to. I too, had good luck with my MS2.3A (as I am calling it) with the steering rack. The car hit the track with absolutely the right set up on it. The only change I made was to move the batteries a 1/8" forward for a touch more steering. I swindled the TQ with the only 47 lapper. Rick Fowble from Boise was right there, but two tiny bumps prevented his 47. The 3A's went in my favor but not without some luck. The first A, the car pushed too much. I found a spring that collasped afterwards. With A1 in the bag, I looked for just a touch more steering and moved the bats all the way forward. The car was ideal for A2 and I wrapped up the event. The only things I would comment about is that I ran out of the 5.8ou cloth that I use and substituted 10ou. I only laid up two personal chassis with this stuff and I will not do any more. They heavier cloth wants to delaminate to easily. Oh well, live and learn. The steering rack had zero problems all weekend. Since the car was good, I couldn't come up with a good reason to change the Ackerman adjustment or change bumpsteer. Just knowing it's there and what it will do, is just good enough for me! BUT; I still do not think that it's worth the trouble to gain these few features. I will be running it some more in ND this weekend to see if I can exploit some more from it. In all, good results as the MS2.3 takes tq, 1st & 3rd in 19t class.

Sounds like 'birds is going to have a big 12th scale crowd!

very cool bro.dont give up on the steering rack dude.ackerman is an awesome adjustment.i always like to use it and am very limited to what i can accomplish with the standard setup.i can get what i am looking for with the stock setup but who knows how much better it will be with more fine tuning adjustment that you can get with your setup.

I did not see this posted before, but the tweek / set up station from Unity Tool (I've owed one for 15+ years) will do 1/12, 1/10 and 1/8. Great workman ship and all ways well used. The new blocks are on my Christmass list, as the older I get the worse my eye sight is!

So are these still available (unity tool) and do they have a website?

The Holeshot did 1/12th and 1/10th in both size axles and attached to the front axle eliminating any inaccuracies in rim deformation or bearing play. Best of all it was only about $35

Looks like they are still making it! I found it today on their website

Hey did that guy asking about Spektrum glitching problems figure out what was going wrong? I just moved race locations and where I'm at now my car glitches really bad...looks like it is going into momentary fail-safes. No one else who runs Spektrums there have the problem but me.

No not yet, but soon. A buddy of mine just got a receiver pack to me and it's installed but haven't had time to try it.

Not sure, but I'll check and post the information back here in a day or two.

I was at WOH this weekend...there were 9 for 12th. Where were you?

I just got back from CEFX on Saturday night....then had to work all night for my job. We had to deploy some new code and our deployment window is 10pm-6 am on Saturdays. I was too tired to come to WOH. Sounds like 12th scale is starting to pick up...NICE!

Any chance of a Team car for the UK as I'm the only 1 over here running BMI 12th @ the mo

Can this minimize glitching ?

Or I should use bigger capacitor instead ?

Jason,

Will you be able to make different thickness of the L-plate for the new car also?
Thanks,
