I made my thrust race spacer last night, it worked out good I'd like to tune up the diff fully and get a race on it before I tell you all it's the best thing since the last best thing.

I'm looking for a website or something that will help me understand the different adjustments of a 1/12. Does anyone know of one?

I have a RC12L3. I am looking for something similar to the XXX Main book for TC. For instance, I want to know if I stiffen the center shock spring, will it tighten or loosen the car? I just want to know the effects of each adjustment.

I've looked through about 50 of the 350+ pages on this forum looking for something like this, because I know some of you get pissy when a newbie asks a question that has already been posted.

Then I decided if you all want to flame -- flame away, I really would like to understand how to setup my 1/12 -- because it is a lot of fun. I just want to get ahold of it.

Thanks in advance for the help.

.... Just wondering!

Plastidip is a type of fluid where you can dip an object and have a rubber like coat. I was looking for an alternative to plastic balloon covers for my receiver on my 8th scale nitro. What's cool about it is you can vary the coating from thin to thick. I'll give it a try to protect the fragile front ends of the Hammer12 and 12l4. If I don't like it, I'll just peel it off. Pretty cool stuff.

where would one get some plastidip

yeah-you color code specialty tools or put on the ends of allen wrnches or body clips to mke them easier to grab. Most of the time its sits on your shelf till it dries up.

Thanks for the website --

Sorry that I came across abrasive and insulting. It really wasn't my intent.

EricF 02-24-2005 12:23 PM

Not a big deal, only did because you suggest that someone should or could:)

Also, Cypress seems to have good info. just don't ask what car to buy :sneaky:
