Look for "ball end reamer" and you will find versions from turnigy, muchmore, etc. as well. Not too hard to find (once you know about them).

What you are showing is known as bump steer. Those lower suspension balls are not causing bump steer. I can assure you that 100%. Bump steer happens when the upper arm pivots and the steering linkage are on 2 different pivot angles. You can eliminate bump steer by changing the angle of the linkage on the steering turnbuckles by adding or removing shims. This happens on real cars as well as RC cars. Here is a picture to explain bump steer.

Exactly...Bump steer is caused by differences in suspension angles. Most likely what was causing your car to handle strangely due to the ball being too tight is that a pivot ball that doesn't move smoothly will cause the king pin to bind so you will either not get full suspension compress, suspension will not fully release, or the suspension will move slower than it should due to the increased friction between the pivot ball and the king pin.

Yes, you are both correct with identifying what bump steer looks like.

However, in the video I purposely avoided mentioning this bump steer (height of the steering links), because it wasn't the steering links causing the bump steer in the video. The main reason for the video was to show the importance of why the lower and upper suspension balls should be bind free.

I do appreciate you pointing this out bdmpastx and InspGagt.

There really is no need to buy a special diff sanding tool. An old diff hub (or even the one off your current car) works just the same. One word of caution though....if you do use your current diff hub to hold the diff ring while rubbing it on emory paper.......be sure to remove the bearing(s) first. You surely won't want to take a chance of getting any of the grit from the sanding operation into the bearings.
