I had a couple 150mm sensor wires laying around... both the CRC and TQ versions. It appears that one of the brands is about 15mm longer than the other. One company probably measures from end to end, the other from where the wire itself stops.

Sooo... with that said, does anyone know which is which? ie: for a given sensor wire length, is the TQ or CRC version longer?

Are associated springs compatible with the X12?

Pretty sure the associated springs work on it, but I've never tried it so couldn't tell you.

This is what mine looks like atm. I'm a noob at 12th, not really sure how to set it up properly. Couldn't for the life of me set the front/rear tweak properly, couldn't get it to track dead straight under acceleration. So I dodgy'd it and stuck a bit of weight on the rear pod, near the motor pinion. Now it tracks straight under acceleration on tiles, so I'm not going to touch it...

No CRC wheels back then. It was all TRC, TM and Jaco. The first CRC wheels were the three -bolt dish wheels released later.

You can charge it with either plug. One plug is wired into the switch, the other is a hot plug. The idea is to put the plug with the switch into the receiver, then you can charge using the hot plug without removing the other plug from the receiver, or turning the switch on. Believe me pulling the plug out of the receiver every couple of runs gets old really fast. It is a 2S, but being a LIFE pack and low MAH, balancing doesn't seem to be a problem, and there's no balance plug anyway.

Most importantly, be sure your charger is set to Life mode and not Lipo mode.

Anyone know of a "generic" adjustable body mount system like the Serpent car has? I thought I saw it somewhere and was looking to get them for my 5.2...

Saw those, are the posts themselves threaded or is it a 2 piece deal?

Do racers still run a bead of CA along the side of the chassis plates on carbon fiber cars?

how fragile are 1/12th scale cars? im interested in getting one after running them on vrc for the past week.... im a decent driver and i race a stock sedan currently. but how is the durability of the arms and such? is the chassis easily tweaked?, are they difficult to set-up? im a total noob when it comes to pan cars.

12th scale cars are very light 730g
When they bounce off things they do not generate forces of impact like sedans
So they don't brake or bend much at all
Obviously, if you are a very poor driver and find it difficult to keep the car on line & in the lane, you will chuck a fair share of foam tires
Aside from that, they are quite durable little cars

I would describe setup as different, but not difficult
No tweak station needed, just a ride height gauge, and a set of callipers will do the job

Check the 12th scale link in my sig for tons of info
