Thanks Justme2, I was beginning to think I was the only person that could see my post lol. I'm leaning towards the CRC Gen XL and since I deal with Horizon Hobby in my Hobby Shop that'll work out great. Thanks again for the help.

seems i have lucked into a MMpro for an esc, its goin into a gen XL, 13.5 redline motor. Track size is 100x40 id say med hi traction smooth carpet.
As of now its set with a 79mm rollout Lookin for a good baseline to start with as far as esc settings. Not really familiar with all the settings. Thanks |
Here are some tricks for foam tires. The brand doesn't matter. Use CS-Electronic side wall glue. It works great at keeping the sidewall flex down. Since I have been using it my tires don't chunk or peel. I can now get a lot of races out of one set. If you are having sauce issuse's use some lighter fluid where you don't want to pick up traction. If you only sauce half your tire, at the end of a race use lighter fluid on the the entire tire then sauce the half you sauced before. You won't pick up all the extra traction from the track that way. Every weekend I clean all of my tires with lighter fluid so any extra sauce doesn't soke in before I race again, This also helps with the chunking issue as the tires don't stay soft for a week before hitting the track again.
Also for those that are looking for doughnut's CS has them as well. Just hope you can understand German. I wish they had an english web site. Hope this help's with the problems. http://www.cs-shop.de/cms/ Use the search type in glue it's about the fourth thing down the page. |
Is there a US source for this glue?

Yeh Chuck above got his from a large order I placed to CS directly a few months ago. Shipping was more expensive than the glue! So if you are going to order some... make sure you order a ton of it. Also since their site is not at all in English, you need to practice up on your German in order even complete the order process. (as the paypal site it sends you to is in German also)
I asked them of their plans to ship domesticly, and they said "Nope". From all the CAs I tested on sidewalls... this stuff is the best. So Chuck you going to be at the Track Sunday? Should be a good start to the series, more new people have 1/12ths. |

Could someone please verify something for me.
Are there 2 versions of the BMI 12 scale, A DB12RR and 12RR ?? If so what is the major difference, that 1 fits lipo and brushless better? Thanks s |

The orignal DB12r and the updated DB12rr. Both will fit 1c lipo just fine but the new rr can be ordered with a lipo specific main chassis that has a recessed area for the lipo to sit down into. And yes one of the other areas addressed with the newer rr car was to center the brushless motor weight/rear pod. There are a couple of other changes/differences between the two versions but those are the most talked about. |

Can anyone recommend a small switch for an rx pack? The only ones I have are the big bulky ones. leads or no leads already attached will work for me.
