I think you are right. But if its faster thats fine with me...lol!

LOL...well fortunately...or unfortunately...I am the race director so I need to make sure to try and keep things as even as possible.

If you want fair run the classes seperate and them let the racers migrate to the class they want to end up running.

In FL our State Series (www.FSEARA.org) is looking at running 13.5 with stock and 10.5 with 19T in all classes for 2008. We are pretty sure the BL's will always be faster in mixed classes and we are telling the racers this. In September the racers vote in what rule changes there will be for 2008 and if they vote to race mixed clases they do so understanding that to be competative they will pretty much have to get a BL system. The racers vote so the only people they can bitch to is themselves if they don't like it...lol!

my hammer was thrown away in the trash can with my new speedo. Im looking for another 1/12 scale car that will work on both onroad and carpet tracks. Should I go with a new hammer or get something else like a carpet knife?

Is there a car that just stands out right now above the rest? I have been out of the racing seen for over a 1 1/2 yrs

LOL... naw, I didn't hack him... I actually had a fast car for the main. Robert jumped in front of me in a fast turn. I had little brake to work with, so I was under his rear wheels for a moment then I applied too much throttle to go around him lifting the front end. I went straight for the wall and side out. T-plates are getting expensive. :sneaky: Brushless it awesome!!! :sneaky:

According to Jason (BMI) and others his car works well on carpet and asphalt. I've been wanting to get one from him but he's said real work (life) has gotten in the way of production time. Plus I just got a new (real)car for Father's Day (early).

Get the DB12R from bmi. I hear you'll really like it.

No release date yet, that I can find. Not much info on it yet, it was just shown at Shizuoka. As for the drivers, it looks alot like the Hammer T12 prototype Hara and Moore were driving at IFMAR TC and 1/12th Worlds last year in Italy, I would expect to see them driving it for sure. I am no expert, but I think because TC and 1/12th are totally different classes, each carries its own contract, for most drivers and companies, but there are always exceptions to the rule, like Masami Hirosaka. For example if all the factory drivers from XRay were only allowed to run XRay and thats it, none of them would be running 1/12th.

And you guys made fun of CarlosG when he pulled out his lotion at the State Champs. It would of been all over anyway because he would have been out of the groove by way more than 1"

Hey Guys, I will be perchasing a slightly (and I mean Slightly) use Hyperform 12 in a few days. Where is a good place to start for gearing on a Stock CO27 motor? Also I don't have any 64p pinions, what range would be good to buy to use on a 12th and TC? Any additional 12th scale input would help as I have never run one, I will be racing on mid to high traction Indoor Asphault, any help for setup, tires, tire conditioning, etc.. is Greatly Appreceiated

Well, we just stopped racing with that motor so try 50mm rollout for the CO27 in the 12th scale.

I will guess for both kits a range of 22-34 64p pinions would keep you competitive. As for the spur sizes with the 1:12, I would suggest starting out with a 96. I have an 81, 88, 96, 100 to cover me from 10T to 13.5 BL. For the motor, co27, your tires trued, a 96/31 would be a starting point. I am truing my tires to 1.7/F and 1.8/R, a little larger for club racing.

I will let an asphalt racer help with setup...
