quick question lets say on BMI old 1/12 their are the friction plates, you know how their are springs on top and bottom. what are the advantages to putting more tension or diffrent springs on the top or bottom thanks

come to dans this weekend sucka :sneaky:

what i have found to work best on the friction plates is minimal spring tension and rely on the damping to keep them stuck.if you can come out to adrenaline this weekend i will show you how i did mine.it would last for about 4-5 race days with no leakage.

im not saying like for myself but a couple people have asked me what if i put a shim under the spring will that do anything to the way the car handles and if so what about the difference between the top spring and the bottom spring

p.s. jason i cant come out this sunday but maybe another one, i really want to get with you at the track and do some more testing and get more familiar with the car so i will keep you posted

really if you want to play with this its better to just play with the lube you use, thicker or thiner
the springs did not do to much but make the car crappy for me.

the spring tension just gives a tighter or looser feel to the oil or friction pads that you use without going nuts with changing oils.i never did mess too much with it once i found the dampening i liked.i run 5000 wt. oil in all conditions.it seems to always work.

you gotta get some time to come over here bro.Me and Pdub are getting this car figured out.last time out we hit some insane setup.its the best i have felt yet from any car i have driven.plus i can show you my pimped out diff.i just ground up a new set of the IRS lightened diff rings and rebuilt the diff.i think it is my best diff yet.
