Saw it for sale on the 'bay.

Anyone using a vfs-1 pro for 12th? If so any comments? Want to try one soon.

I used the VFS-1 Pro for a little while. Did like it, but prefer my Nosram Dominator Evo. It felt little smoother....
So its back in the 1/12th.

Its a great sedan speedo but its circutry is not so happy on 4 cells. I was told be someone who knows that all the KO based speedos have a problem with supplying the proper gate voltage to the fets on 4 cells and this can make the fets burn out.

If you run a receiver pack you will never have a problem but if you run stock or 19T with no rx pack and you run the batteries down too much you can damage the speedo.

I've been using VFS-1's in my 1/12 stock and 19-t cars (run Novak brushless in mod) for over a year now. No problems. Started with a Pro, now have Comp's in both cars and the Pro is my backup. JUST received a Comp 2 yesterday...it'll go in the 19-T car for this coming Sunday.

I like them very much. As far as "feel"...just find a profile (or create one) that works best for you. There service is also top-notch via KO USA.

I run the 3D12 but there's not much difference in building. Just make sure when you put the rear pivot together you get it straight as possible. Other than that, put it together and have fun. :tire: :tire: :tire: :tire:

any chance that someone could shed a little light on this question for me? i know there aren't any concrete answers and the best way to figure it out is to try them but i can't afford it. thanks in advance!

Does it come pre-built? If so, is there an option to buy it as a kit? And, what is the price?

i sold them assembled at the snowbirds but they will be sold in kit form only from here on out.the street price is 250.00.i was shooting for the 200 price tag but with all of the included parts that are usually aftermarket,it drove my cost over my expected budget.

pretty light for a stock 1/12th with 4200 cells.my new damper tubes are all delrin for minimal weight and they are designed to run with heavier oils to eliminate fade.
