The thrust bearing should help in keeping your diff in good working order for a longer time. It should also cost you less outer diff bearings. Haven't tried one myself yet.

Interesting, cause I running a very very loose diff. Seems better check my setup see if something wrong. Probably get L4 diff later. Thanks Holland.

Does anyone know of a caster gauge for 1/12?

Ntensweapon 11-08-2005 07:39 PM

yes delta is alive and well. they moslty deal with gas stuff these days. but they also do alot of machining for electric stuff...many parts we use every day. they just don't get the credit.

trey goto the nitro forum and find the xp4 thread. dave has his email there. they have a website.....but i can never remember the url.

i can hook you up with some wire..i won't be over for a couple of weeks though.

Does anyone else know what Delta racing's website is if they are still around? I heard that they have some super thin low resistance wire so it doesn't mess with the rear pod action on a 1/12th scale. It is a lot more flexible from the smaller guage I am guessing.

Try the website linked above. Go to the wire section and take a look at their 16ga wire. This is the stuff we use.

i saw a racer once use a RPM camber gage to eyesite/check his caster. he would remove the wheels set the car on a flat car set-up board, then set the RPM gage parallel to the side of each kingpin to eyeup and get a reading.

JamesArluck (saw you were viewing)

a while back....i mentioned a older link car in the 'whats hot in 12th onroad" thread, you said it sounded familiar and asked if i knew the name of the driver. the name of the racer that moved here from California is Robert Hill. he says he knows you from many years ago.

I think the only one that I saw for sale was a guy bought all the parts seperate and with a L4 put it together and sold it on here for $275

I think that the BMI car is just about the same thing in my opinion a lot of the same concepts.

I would like to know when you can get the new yokomo charger aka ice I am tired of looking at my pits and seeing the work durajunk woops i mean duratrax. You know that they didn't make the charger as it works to well.

very short version
-asked if they were available. site says they are available and coming soon at the same time?
-was told they are available for order thru my LHS
-told him i took the part#'s from the 2005 news release to get my LHS to order them. LHS couldn't order them was told the part#'s don't exist when they tried to order.
-was told they are available for order thru my LHS or order thru them.
-told him they are not listed for sale on the site how do i get them
-was told they are available for order thru my LHS
-reminded him why i was emailing him in the first place.
-was told they are available for order thru my LHS or order thru them.
-asked how to order/pay from them since it's not on the site to purchase
-no more responses...utter email emptiness :weird:

these parts still aren't listed on their online shop for sale?

a poster in this thread "Team Girth" posted that the parts were available at the YOKO location in Cal, etc. i wasn't willing to drive 10 hours to get them. i have moved on. got ahold of Doug Powell (maker of the Quad-12) and had a old school FG chassis made for lo-traction tracks carpet or asphalt. it grips like mad when my graphite car acts like a drift car
