Sorry for changing the subject here guys but want to get your opinion on something.
Been running my MI2EC indoors on carpet, using sorex 24 tyres, in Stock 27t on a really tight track with high grip. I've been running Teemu's setup from the manual just raising the links on the suspension mountings and using a diff instead of a spool. Its been working quite well but I need to pick up 7 tenths of a second a lap to be in with a chance of a win. I've been thinking about switching to Chris Ashtons setup but I don't have a one-way to try. what would you recommend?
Any advice very welcome.
Paul

I would definitely recommend a one-way on carpet with rubber tires. Should give you much more turn in and overall cornerspeed.

If you dont have a one way the spool will certainly be faster than the diff. Diffs kill your turn in steering and makes the car push exiting.

after the great start in 19 turn with the EC I'm going to run mod for the first time with the car. Everyone knows I hate carpet so the results with the car speak for themselves. If I can pull a top 3 finish in mod tomorrow I'm going to Disneyland Goog luck to the rest of the Schuie gang where ever you're racing.

hey guys just curious what is the advantage of running a front one way?? and it what conditions??
andis there a centre oneway option for the mi2??
whats a really good bearing company money no worry??
im just considering my option but so far im still having trouble with the front diff i might start using thread lock on the diff screw and the locking screw what do you guys normaly do?? just want it to stay set!!

That car had about 4 months of racing Mod and in that time I never had any problem with the diffs - they are the most reliable part of the car!
Are you sure sure that they're still loosening off?
As the diff lube starts to come off, the diff will have a looser feel to it, but the screw should still be set tight. If any diff was to loosen, it should be the rear diff, as it has the most load on it.
The diffs on that car often felt very free and loose, but they didn't slip on the track.
As for the one-way, the primary advantage is better turn-in when compared to a diff, however you do lose the ability to use brakes - which can make it a bit of a problem on tracks with hairpins
There is no centre one-way option, and the normal one-way will cost you around AU$100 - ask HeavyD for a price.

yeh i re built the diffs and broke them in as ingave it throttle held one wheel the did it to the other then did the other diff and the front diff got a little tighter and the rear went really loose so i took them out and re set the tensions and thats when the set screw broke and then after i fixed that lol the diff screw snapped maybe im trying to set them to tight what do you guys reckon??? help im getting frustrated and confused as this is my first competition car.
