RacerX: I haven't raced in Dallas in a long time. I was referring to Hot Rod's Raceway in Lubbock, TX. There was a racer there last weekend from Dallas. I believe his last name is Pryor. I wasn't able to be there, but visited with the LHS owner there about his car. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Hope you had a great New Years Day. Take care.

Hi all,
First of all a Happy New Year to all.
Looking throug some mission setups many times stabi's where used. I never ever used stabi's on the A2 only in very extreme conditions (in the rain a stabi in the rear to create more steering)
In my opinion (theoreticaly) you always lose grip by using stabi's so i won't use them on the mission too.
Or is the mission a car that loves stabi's ???

To ponder bout the future of schumacher
ok losi and asc guys, if say brian kinwald, billy easton, tony phalen, barry baker, masami herosaka (sorry for got how to spell the last name) these are all exelent drivers, and I am willing to bet that schumacher would take whe worlds with a driver who was up there in that group... I am not saying that schumacher cant win without one of them, I am saying that if a schumacher can make me look like a pro, then imagine what could be done in the hands of a true professional, some one who lives eats breathes sleeps r/c, that is how they live this is thier vocation...
the worlds would be owned by schumacher.... it would be untouchable...as it is when it is in capible hands the car is awesome... even in my less than capible hands ( I live to build r/c cars) racing well I am not the greatest driver in the world ( I have been told that I am not agressive enough)... the car looks great... I can feal a diffrence in quality, and I know that if everyone would own at least one shcumacher, that would be it, asc, and losi, at least on road would be dead!!!!

I have a problem with a diff, looking for ideas.
I had to re-build my rear diff as it was getting very rough. Stripped everything, made sure that everything was clean etc. Sanded the plates using 600grit (as Adrian had recomended many moons ago!) Then re-built using greese that i had always used. It was as smooth as glass, but very tight. I thought it might loosen up when run, but it didn't. So i then re-built it again using different greese, still the same. Obviously i can get it loose enough, but then it slips. It's not that tight, but IMHO too tight
any ideas??

I have not had problem with my rear diff in that nature. I have rebuilt it twice now. Its a little rough, but free. I am using the Schumacher lubes. Saturday a fellow racer rebuilt his using Losi diff lube, and it felt very stiff.

Jay W. and I are getting closer to a good set-up for SoCal Raceway. Very high speed high traction. Need to add more steering the more the night goes on. Car starts to push more on corner entry to middle.

tc3driver-I know Ultimate has already had the Mission car kits as of 3 weeks ago. They didn't have any Mission parts yet. They should now have some. They have always carried the Schumacher line for as long as I remember.

The track was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to coming to race with you guys again soon. On your track the one-way is the only way to go! I ran the car with both diffs on Saturday and the car was good but I put the on-way in on Sunday and the car was awsome! It pick up my lap times by over a lap. If you get the chance try the Take-off tire CS-22 with a CSMF insert, that is the tire I ran this weekend and the cars was stuck! If you have any question feel free to ask.

Do you have a pre production Mission kit or a production kit? I had a pre production kit and I had the same problem and all I did was get one of the new Diff gears, as the ones in the production kit are differant then the pre production ones. The ones out now are tinner around the center and allow it to be adjusted better. You might want to pick up another gear and see if you can see any differance between them.

Yeah mine was a pre-production kit, but it was ok origionally. I have got some new diff pulleys so might try fitting those. I think it might be the greese that i have been using. It is quite thick as it was what i always used with the older diffs. I think these need thinner greese with the smaller balls.

Thanks for the tire info. I'll try them next. Was considering some Sorex 20's, but thought that might be overkill.
