can some one answer that question about if i can use tc4/tc3 shocks on this car with out buying the lowered shock towers? What do you guys think, is it better in buying the lowered towers and buying the tamiya shocks ? but thats like almost $100 ! its like buying a new RDX again .

Personally I'd never put AE shocks on a car. I can't stand them. As long as you can get them to the right length and get them mounted, I don't see a problem.

Sorry. I don't. You can probably order them from Schumacher direct or if your local hobbys ship stocks Schumacher, have them order them for you.

TC3 shocks are exactly the same length as Schumacher std ones, so they will fit straight on the std mounts. They have a little more travel than the std ones, but they are nothing special when it comes to shocks really.

They are ok, and probably have a few benefits over std ones, but i wouldn't go out and buy a set specially.

Hmm. I recently went to 64 pitch gears so the spur is fairly new (one maybe two events new). When does it becoem necessary to replace the spur gear other than when it gets sripped? Im running the robinsons btw.

That's what I do. TRF shocks are simply the best on the market right now. They're smooth, easy to build and honestly, they look quite nice too. Different shocks aren't really something you absolutly HAVE to do. But it is nice to have them on the car because if the ease of use and consistancy.

OH! um so the good ones are good ? cause everyone at my track has the tamiya ones , does the regular shocks can i fit ae springs ?

Not a problem. That's what we're here for.

As for the AE springs on stock shocks, I think you have to use spacers in addition to the threaded collars to get the ride height correct since the AE springs are shorter than stock ones.

I have XRay and AE Springs and they work fine as long as you use spacers.

I simply use 1 large spacer and that compensates for the difference

are the TRF Shocks a straight install or is any modification needed?

[edit] I'm using a Mission by the way. Will they even work on a Mission?

I'm not too sure on a Mission. I never ran that car.

They will fit a mission, just need a slightly longer than std TRF bottom joint. Think i ran assiciated bottom joint from memory.

hey i still run the regular shocks but i cut 2mm of the bottem of the shock shaft and cut the ball cup 1mm on the top to get full ride hight with the lower shock tower. I got this from mo
