I ran this gearing in my MI2 at the region 12 and it got me the win in brushless class .. 90 spur and 22 pinion .. try 95 spur and 23 and get close to a 7.3 final .. with 1.81 ratio..

Randy- Its PW setup from the Roar Nats with only a few changes. Clint raised the front roll center back to 2mm(stock riser plate) and I had the 1mm spacers with 1mm of anti-squat in the rear. Those were the only changes we made.

Hi,

My mates currently running a mission and we're about to hit the carpet racing sene. Have you guys got any idea what gearing I should be looking at for a monster with a 86 tooth spur and 20t pulley??

Cheers

Thanks to all the Schumacher drivers at the Region 12 race. All of our cars were really good. All of us helped each other out with set-ups and it showed. I know my car was better then my results, but lack of bigger race pressure got to me. It was a challenge all weekend as the track seemed to change every day. It wasn't till the end of each day till we found what worked only to see the next day be so different. It was a lot of fun, track, and crew were great. Hope they do it again soon.
Thanks to Pat M. for help with horsepower. If it wasn't for that, then I would of had problems in that area.
I have faxed my final set-up to PW. He will post it somewhere.

I am now ready for another race with more confidence. Hopefully will be able to make it to the Southwest Champs at Scottsdale,AZ.

Don V.

on a medium sized carpet track with rubber tires and a monster and the 86 spur start with a 20 or 21 tooth pinion. I recomend going with the 64 pitch spur... the monsters, binary and Epic ROAR legal motors are very touchy about gearing and a one tooth pinion change is a big change with 48 pitch
