Cornerspeed- i run a lot of touring car, i've got the Axis 2. i just got it a few months before the new car came out..... i figure i'll wait til next year then get the mission right before the mission 2 comes out haha.

and i run AE buggy and truck......gots to get the off road fix in too....

Duke 1- Well right now the only off-road is SoCal Raceway. I race primarily touring car. Plenty of that going on. When are you going to be here?

I went to jacksonville last year for the on-road nats. I was miserable. Sweating just sitting doing nothing.

The Mission is great. Best car I have built and driven. Its only gonna get better. I haven't really did set-ups on it. I will do some tonight at SoCal. Goes together very well. I would really recommend you getting one. Sell your Axis 2. The Mission is that good.

Kevin K...thanks for the info. I have a carpet/rubber tire setup that Adrian posted...we have a new carpet track opening up real soon here in central Texas...ozite carpet, and I think it will be glued down (I'll probably end up helping to install it this weekend)...Our first setup will mimic the setup for the Snowbird race..planning to head to Schu-world in Feb to try to bring in home for the Mission at the Snowbird race...will be racing stock and 19 turn, rubber tire there...I welcome any setup suggestions. Have had my car built for over a week, but rain prevented parking lot racing and the carpet track isnt open yet....cant wait to see how truly dominating its going to be...

I started building mine last night. Saw one on the track Sunday, man it was fast!

Still my driver took one look at the purple parts and turned green! I told him it was purplonium and to hand me the exacto knife. I spent most of the night preparing the platic parts for assembly while the bearings were soaking. I countersunk all the chassis holes to make sure I'd pass the tech. Don't you just hate when that one screw sticks out!

Lots of sharp edges on the graphite, I sanded everywhere with some 400 emery paper under running water.

Not sure about the diffs, they don't seem to spin freely but I'll try them like that first. Maybe they're too free on my other cars!

Scrapped all the self threaded screws...

What about the ball ends? I don't trust them, they look heavy for one thing...any thoughts?

Man this will be one nice car!

Dragonxmx - You have set your diffs as in the manual. Right out of the kit mine were fully tighten up. Loosen 1/2 turn and they are super SSSMMOOOOTTTHH. I like them better than the old ones.

I left the diffs as is and the rear has loosened up real nice. the front I will loosen a bit more but they are nice and smooth.

As for the counter sinking, all my holes were perfect. Not one scre sticking out and boy do I love that! You can put droop blocks under any part of the car!

I put a mission together just the other day. I thought the kit was extremely well done, and it went together very nicely. Only took me two and a half hours to get it compelted. The shocks took the longest, and is what I think is the kits only weak point. I didn't have any problems with rough spots on the cahssis or top deck. And the diffs in my kit were very smooth, I guess it all depends on the person putting them together at the factory. I would have to say that all in all, Schumacher has a winner with the Mission.

Ottoman....I ran my car in stock at Venture raceways and it was very very good. I use the 17t pulley but Im going to try the 20 this weekend. You might want to start with the 20t for scottys b/c the long straight, you can switch to the 17t in no time so try it aswell and see what you think.

The car will turn in extreamly hard but not get loose with this set up and it might have a slight push in the middle of the corrner. If this is not to your liking move the rear upper link to the inside hole on the hub this will give it more steering comming out of the corrner. I ran Old PIT 25's all the way around with med inserts, and Brian ran the same set up with SOREX 24's all the way around and it still worked the same. I like it best with YOKOMO 139g's and TAKE OFF 22's all the way around. If you need any help stop by and see me or Brain this weekend we can help you out.

James P......Sorry I was just looking back and saw your post about tires. The tracks around here are low traction most of the time because they have the DUPONT carpet not the CRC-ozite stuff. I like for week to week racing the YOKOMO 139g's with take off med. and med hard inserts, they last about 2 weeks or racing saturday and sunday and give good traction. I still have some of the old PIT tires 25 compound and they work well with the same inserts as the YOKOMO's. I did try a set of TAKE OFF 22's with the stock inserts last weekend and they work very well and did not wear that much. I will have to get a set for myself as I borrowed them and tell you how they hold up. I never really had good luck with SOREX tires they are fast but only good for 2 runs I feel, I may give them a shot again but if they are only fast for 2 runs then Im not going to keep wasting my money on them. Ohh I almost always run the YOKOMO hard dish rims.

KevinK-3 holes and 60wt...man thats light! Is S&N that low bite?

A lot of the races that I have talked to say that the DuPont carpet has a lot more bite than the CRC Ozite. At the 99 and 00 Carpet Nats at MINNREG Josh Cyrul had to change his setups in all classes as he had practiced on CRC and MINNREG used DuPont.
