but according to pictures from the Much More website the Orion is the same than the older CTX 2.1 not the new 3 version

I have that one in the picture. It's a very useful tool. I've been using it to learn what works with the different motor's.

The next best would be something that gave you torque. It's all RPM and amps.

very good break-in feature. Adjustable volts and time. Also saves data.

Mine says it's a Motor Performance Monitor. From Orion. Fasttrack Hobbies had one by chance.

I was on the phone with Horizon Hobbies today. They have the newer Orion Motor Performance Monitor in stock for $159.

I got my Orion Motor Performance Monitor Today looks sweet ! but it came without instuctions so I dont know what the info is that it gives me. can some one here scan theres and email them to me ?All so what are you looking for on the numbers ?as it gives you amps. do you want them high or low what about rpm I thought the more the better on this one.What do you set the volts at to test with ?Thanks for any and all help a syou can tell i am new at this.

The instructions for their motor checker is on the Orion website.

They are fairly clear. Good luck.

Would like to hear your input after playing with it awhile.

Well so far I like this new toy! I played with it all weekend at the track.I tested my motors on friday nite.Race saturday and sunday retested motors tonight at home had one that was falling short of earlyer numbers.Found brush hood allinement was off.Reline the hood and bam back up and ready for next weekend!Had a few of hte guys from the track looking at it and run some of there motors and it.For the price and size(its small) they liked it. All so played with some difffrent spring and brush combos you sure can see the changes good and bad.Cant wait to play with this so more next week at the track.Ed
