Motor Management System (aka Dyno)
Anybody have any input on the Yokomo Motor Management System in comparison to the Integy Dyno equivalent? Thanks.

I perfer the yokomo,cuz that's the lastest R/C product
|
I've seen the Yokomo but when I lived in Japan last year almost all the racers were using Team Much More CTX-M motor master to pulse break in/dyno their motors. Even S-Karn uses one....check out this link: www.much-more.co.kr/e_index.php

I used the integy dyno over the weekend. It's pretty cool. All the major stuff you want is right there. I aligned the brushes on a friends 19t motor and the decrease in amp draw and the increase in rpm's was dramatic. Very nice tool in my opinion.

I put this question out already knowing that the Yokomo was a pretty good tool.
Keep it up guys...This is getting interesting...Any more objective information would be most appreciated. |

Hi There,
I have just recieved my unit, and the instructions are in English. It is a very cool unit. Cheers |
I have used the CTX 2.1, but since Asimo is leaving Japan i will no longer have access to his, so i will definately be getting the V 3.0..
I have only really used the CTX so i can't comment on anything else, but i definately recommend it.. looks cool too! Check out this thread: http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...threadid=27495 |
I think Orion have rebadged that Much More motor checker as their new Motor Checker.

Yeah i saw this a while ago and thought the same thing, haven't been able to find it here in Japan yet to verify...
Looks the same though. (CTX Looks better though IMO) |
I have used the integy unit for a while and find it quit useful for simple stuff same as the yok....
I don't think the yok has anything to hold the motor so i would have issues with that.... The only difference would be what kind of rpm sensor do you prefer.... |
The new CTX uses pulse break in beside linear break in as it seems.
What is the advantage of the pulse break in? I think pulse break in will result in higher ampdraw during breakin and this will result in higher wear for brushes and commutator during break in. But if Iīm right thatīs not an advantage. So anybody knows better about this? |
