I don't know anything about the xray's other than there a great looking car and I'm thinking of getting one. I was wondering if the T1R and the EVO 2 can be upgraded to the Factory Kit and if so what's to upgrade or is the factory kit a completely different car all together.

Thanks

the factory is basically the same as the evo2 or tir. But it does cost quite a bit for the upgrade. you will need to purchase bulkheads, short arms. hinge pin retainers, rear shock tower, captured rod ends. and if you really want factory lighted diffs and lighted hex drives. you are looking at well into the $200 to make it factory. And I know there are places that are sellign the factory for $289 or so

And..... Front shock tower, lightened driveshafts, low ratio pulley kit, alloy layshaft and stiff topdeck.

You'd be better off getting a new factory kit.

im thinking of going to the FK now as well. I just read something about the rear belt rubbing on the motor. Is that a common problem or has it been fixed in the FK?

yes to achieve some gear ratios belt rubbing is nessesary. although it WILL NOT cause any bind on the drivetrain. because under acceleration your belt lifts and doesnt hit the motor.

I am looking at getting the T1 factory kit and I want to go ahead and order breakage parts as well. I will be running this car on carpet.

Can someone give list the typical breakage parts?

And anything else I might need to get.

thanks.
