Greg-see ya the week before the US Indoor Champs at the Gate!! All you'll need is a week on the Ozite. I'll give ya the hot-set-up for the Xray when you arrive!!! yes I am kidding!!!

SalvadoriRacing - What kind of track are you running on. Tight, open, hooked up, loose etc.

Default Ouch

Neil,

I am using a JR RS300 With a JR XR3 Reciever and a Novak Dually ESC. When I went into the hobby shop I said "you guys ever have any glitching problems on the track?" Thier reply was oh yeah in turn two the fence runs to close to the track.

Thanks for your interest

HODAPP,

Here is the track layout, the straight is 60meter.....

http://www.aarcdoabc.com.br/images/pista.gif

I ran today, I tried a final ratio of 5.7, my car (19t motor) is about 1 second slower than modifieds.....

I tried the battery position that josh cyrul uses, but was the first time I run my XRAY, i don't know how the car will react with other batt positions....

try the speedmind spurs. im currently using their 90 teeth spur, all i had to do was widen the middle hole a bit with an exacto knife coz it was quite a tight fit. i also dont like the stock spur coz of the flex. the speedmind spur is stiffer than the stock ones.

PRS or www.precisionracingsystems.com is making Touring car spurs now in sizes up to 132 teeth. Perfect for the Xray so you can get the motor low in the car. Machined and perfectly round and light. Yes I am sponsored by them but I would still run them if I wasnt. Quite a few factory drivers are now running the spurs and pinions as well.

Default which trans ratio

I was told the factory fk kit has a ratio of 1.77 and is the best for carpet. He also told me for asphalt I should be running the 2.125 gears any one care to give me some input on this

No, run 1.77 everywhere.

I would run the low ratio set everywhere...the ones with the factory kit. It seems to free the drive train up quite a bit. Ive run it everywhere like that...But Hodapp or one of the other guys might be better suited to answer the exact differences.

From the looks of it, you geared the Reedy quad incorrectly. I don't know much about the Trinity.

yep, looks like you fried ur 19t motor with that high a gear ratio, try running it in the 6.5 to 6.7s, just my thought anyway.

well, while were at it, what is the difference between a 1.77 trans ratio as opposed to the 2.125 of the FOC? am a bit confused if i need to change to the 1.77. i run on a fairly technical track, asphalt, med grip.

tanx for ur inputs guys.
