I saw it happen this last weekend. Two cars crossed dead even nose to nose, in an offroad race... mod truck.

This is close to one of the more retarded things iv ever seen typed here on rctech. Heck, I would bet we are somewhere around 20 009s at my local club alone over the last year. I would venture to guess that xray has sold thousands of 09s.

That's why Sawyer beat me... Gosh I told you I should have got the light weight bumper for my Xray. But NOOOOOOOO

I always thought those bumpers were for crumply zones anyway? Show's what I know.

PT's are PT's. It's all about the fun anyway rite? Put them in your bumper, or on your servo, or your top deck, or your.... Just put it in and turn some laps.

I should receive (fingers crossed) my T3 in the next week (after 5 weeks on backorder). Its been a long wait. Any build tips specific to Xray or the T3 I should be aware of? This is the first Xray I have owned. Im aware of all the typical stuff on CAing the chassis, etc.

Has anyone (thought bought an original T3) received their front suspension mount yet?

Ralph told me a couple weeks a couple weeks ago and I've seen them for sale on web sites already.

Anyone?

I would guess they arrived with the second batch of t3s. They just got those this week and are sending them (the t3s) out this week. Just a guess but I bet the mounts are going out this week too.

An XRAY builds up like no other chassis. Ask anyone who has owned one before.

1. Put a set-screw in the empty hole of the rear uprights. This keeps it from stripping out on side impact.

2. If you have any binding with the arms do not sand the outside edges. Just loosen the screws underneath the car, tap the back of the arm with your screwdriver handle, and then re-tighten the screws.

3. Channel locks help when putting the quick roll centers together.

4. Pay attention to the shiny side of the plastic ball holders.

5. For rubber tire racing the shocks seem to work well with the 3 hole piston and the foam removed.

6. Oil the bearings, they come dry.

7. Rebuild and oil both the cvd's and the diff. The diff requires the right tool to pull out the clip.

8. Sand the chassis cut outs where you put the tape through. If you don't round the edges there it will cut through your battery tape on semi hard impacts.

9. Always, always, pay attention to the screw length you use in different places of the car. And when you're changing the cars setups, always pay attention to screw length changes as you add or remove shims.

10. Roll center blocks have dots on them that show high, middle, low (+75 0 -75). Pay attention to that when you build the car or adjust the roll center later.

Thats all I can think of.

Exactly, that thingy in the diff needs those skinny pliers to get it out =)

Yeah, if you remove the snap ring it is always a good idea to use a new one. If they bend at all you will have a high and low spot for the thrust bearing to ride on.

not yet Bud! I assumed they do not have it yet(Rc America). keeping my fingers crossed. to be honest with you I really like the handling of this car and kind of skeptical about the one piece mount. I was told that it will change the handling but we will see.
