My apologies if this was answered in this thread already, but:

Are the 008/009 suspension pieces carrying over to the T3? So if you have arms/c-hubs/knuckles from the T2 it would prevent you from having to buy a whole new group of spares?

They are all the same. You can go to the teamxray site and download the parts list as well. The rear has the optional 2 hole 303165/303166 arms though. They are not "new", just an option T2 part.

You mentioned Reedy, Xrays have always done well there.

I think a lot has to do with the driver. Most of those guys in Europe drive a different type of track. Car popularity comes and goes.

But Xray T-what ever will always be in the hunt and hard to beat in quality and performance.

There is something different about either the c-hub or steering block.

The slideshow for the T3 shows how there is a greater steering throw as compared to the T2 008-009. It says something about one or the other being redesigned.

That might mean the new part will fit the older platform though.. much like the new arms fit the older T2 platforms.

It could be a change in the steering rack.

No the slideshow shows the 009 steering block impacting the C-hub and the angle of throw for the axle. Then shows the T3 doing the same thing with an increased throw. You cannot get that from steering rack changes. It is a set maximum throw based upon where your kingpin is related to the point the arm impacts the C-hub.

Just looked it up on the slideshow. 18th slide. "The new modified steering blocks allow..."

Steering blocks are the same. Part #302252 for the T2 and T3 platform.

That will probably mean it will be a running change and old parts will still be out there with the same part number.

It looks like on the block where the arm part connects to the upper mass (where the kingpins mount) has an undercut.

I had a long day going thru the cross reference list of all the parts ('009 vs T3) & couldnt see what the difference with the steering block part number.

Part number is still the same (302252) COMPOSITE STEERING BLOCK - MEDIUM - RUBBER-SPEC - V2

but the description changed with the "V2" at the end in the T3 manual compared to the T2009.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

I thought the steering increase was because of the re-location of the bellcrank system.?

The same thing happened when they revised the C-hubs for the ECS driveshafts. The part numbers stayed the same, but they are now "V2". So, to maintain the steering throw with the wider opening in the C-hubs, they had to take a little material away where the steering knuckle would hit the C-hub at full lock. Given that the C-hubs and front arms are the same, the only way to get more steering travel is to back cut the knuckle. Once the knuckle contacts the C-hub, no matter what the steering rack geometry is, you aren't getting more steering throw because the C-hub acts as a positive stop for the knuckle.
