On a large track start with 84 spur and a 12 teeth pinion and work your way from there.
With that 75 spur you won't be able to get the desired rollout.

Yeah, the one sure thing with a hot motor like a 4.0T is that you want the biggest possible spur.

Not 2 big ( 84 is fine).
If you go bigger, you will get into trouble with smaller tires at the rear.

Ran a bit yesterday, just to shake the cobwebs. From the car, not mine. Can't say it was bad but I will concede that track conditions were bad.

Unfortunately this item is no longer in stock. Perhaps Calandra Racing Concepts may consider adding a Pro10 rear pod assembly to their wide kit?

Rollout around the 27/28MM for starters and work your way from there.
Begin with no timing or boost on the ESC and check temp after a minute or 2.
Is it still low then run a 5 minute heat and check again.
Keep it at 75 degrees celcius max for great performance

Hi guys i have been reading for about 100 pages of this forum and much appreciate all the shared info.

I wanted to ask this question:
which 235mm car would you buy under these conditions:
.living in Europe so has to be easily available in Europe, both car and parts
.looking for a good quality strong car
.preferably wanting a complete car and not a mix of a car with a lot of third party tune up parts
.will drive on asphalt in the summer with 10.5 boosted or modified 4.5
.maybe drive on carpet in the winter if it is as much fun as 1/12th
.if possible drive with 2x1S lipo's (since i drive 1/12 now and have those available).
But this last point is not a really deciding factor (if needed will invest in 2S lipo's).

I am a pretty experienced driver with experience in 1/8th nitro, 1/12th indoor and 1/10th modified touring. So i love speed and power :-)

Possiblities after reading through the forum appear to be:
.the new Roche P10W (american car and seems not so easily available in Europe)
.RC-devil (german car, looks complex at first sight to set up, high price but this is not a deal breaker if it is really a very good car)
.VIP Vorlon (german car, very little info available about the car on the website)
.Serpent S100 LTR with a serpent 235mm option kit (easily available but i don't know if this is the way to go if you also want to have access to modified driving in the long run),...

Please give me your experienced opinion what you would do if you would start from zero with these considerations ?

Personally I think there is something to be said for simplicity.. speedmerchant roadkill 10 is a great car and very simple. It might be worth checking out

+1 on the Roadkill 10. You could also check out VBC or X-ray X10 which has a conversion kit. But I prefer a pro 10 with no conversion.

I'm pretty sure the Roche is Asian (Hong Kong maybe) and Tonisport stock it in Europe.

Slow progress, but my TRR converted RC10R5.1 is almost done!

Saxo body with a classic scheme. I did notice that the front of the body is almost too narrow for the car - I had to remove some axle shims and put a big radius on the tyres to prevent rubbing (58mm tyres). Anyway, I think it looks pretty cool.
