I've been told by many people that the outside band of gray is to help reduce chunking...and I must say it works!

I need a little help. I have a gen X that Im slowly converting to a XL. so far I bought the XL chassis, the long arm setup and the encore shock.

I know about the pod that centers the brushless motor and I see a lot of racers going to a more closed pod. Which way is better? I will be running 13.5 open On mostly carpet and one occasional asphalt track.

Is Deans 12 gave wire aka the wet noodle, to big for 1/12 racing? I'm talking in terms of tweaking the rear pod.

Who makes rear pod braces that fit on the back of X pod. I kind of want somethin different.

you really wanna use something thinner - like the 16g stuff that TQ wire puts out...the 12g is cool for the battery connector, and then use the thinner stuff for the motor connector

So no matter how I installed the the 12 gauge wire, its going to tweak the rear.

^^^^what about the rear pod? As of right now I'm running the Gen x pod. I have some people telling me that its a better pod than the new one and that centering the motor ain't all that necessary .

I'm running the old pod on my genx with brushless. And yes the motor is right side heavy. But I ran it all last winter with no traction issues. Since our track is very tight but the high speed corner is a right hander which is good for me. As I have a bit better corner speed with this setup.

The biggest issue is the sensor cable might rub on the left tire as the motor is basically up against the left pod. And if you have the full left side motor Plate getting the wiring to work takes a bit of fiddling

Default Front Bearings

Why does CRC use 3/16x5/16 front bearings when almost anyone use 1/8x5/16?

The 3/16 bearings seems more fragile and wear out quicker ... is it to have a bigger and therefore stronger frontaxle?

Will there come an optional dual (front) axle for the 1/8x5/16 bearings?

Kind regars; Jens

No boost? try 50 teeth or bigger. And don't go by motor temp as to choosing the correct gear, at 93% or so efficiency under no boost and just 1s batteries it will NEVER get hot, only tune gearing based on lap times.

So I should order 50 to 60? or ??? I got out of the hobby right before brushless and Lipo and have never ran 1/12 so sorry for all the questions. The local track is blinky mode but once a month I will be running boost 13.5. All my current 64p is for brushed touring car. Thanks for the help
