Had the same problem. I got a futaba S9351. No problem now.

Thanks for all of the help. The steering problem is mostly resolved. There were several causes starting with really loose diffs, compounded by an overtightened steering assembly, and lastly, what may be a slightly glitchy servo. Thanks for all the help guys. I'll keep you posted on the progress.

the more important is : STAY AWAY FROM HITEC !
it cost me lots of money before i figured that... futaba/ko( my favourite)/airtronics or sanwa are the most ( if not the only) reliable servo manufacturers. Stay away from anything else. Seriously.

Funny you mentioned Airtronics. That's actually what I replaced the Hitec with. I'm looking at a couple of Futabas, but the Airtronics is working just fine for the time being, and now that it tracks straight, it's time to go faster. I've got an LRP 80750 and two brushless motors, a 10.5 and 6.5. Where should I start with the 10.5 on a pinion?
