Traction compound across the whole front tire and the whole rear tire. Let it soak for at least 10-15 minutes before run.

Ohh for sure we can use paragon at our track, I use the white can. I hear the black can is the one to go with though.

The setup I mentioned is for Jack the Gripper.... never tried it with Paragon.

personally I can't stand Paragon, but it's personal preference

Good luck and let us know how it works for you!

My TA05v2 with Upgrade pack had bones. Had to get 53894 which had axles and got 46mm shafts.

That Sucks! With all of the Hop-Ups and no CVD's, the TA05R and IFS-R all came with CVD's. What was Tamiya thinking!

Last weekend i participated in the super stock race where brushless motor of not less then 9T was allowed. My verII was lacking of spareparts so i decide to give my 416X a opening run alongside drivers using 1 416WE, 4 TA05-IFS, 1 regular TA05, 1 TA05 verII, 2 X-ray T2 '09, 1 HB Cyclone-S, 1 HL 518 and 1 Vantex ( clone of the 416). Was amazed at how most of the TA05's was able to keep up with the 416's on our medium high speed track. At the end of the day the top ten cars to finish the rest was lead by 416's, followed by in order IFS, TA05, verII, HL518, X-ray's. I must say the TA05's gave most of the pressure on their rivals during qualifying eventho i myself had the pressure from my friend who was running an IFS and a verII. The TA05's are definitely build for stock and super stock class.

I just picked up a TA05 V2 from my shop. I plan on making it a drifter.

What are the first must have upgrades for this car?

What is a good brushless setup to run in it? Are the EZ Run systems any good?

Get some spares on the knuckle and king pin. These are the ones likely to go first. If you have the budget, get the universals for it and aluminium outdrives. The Ezrun systems are good as long as you intend to use it for drifting alone.

Yes, I plan on using it for drifting.

Can someone post a link of where I can get an EZ Run system? Also, which one should I get?

For me the LHS sells lots of ezrun combo's. If i were you i would get the 60A esc and get the 9T motor individually.
