I dont use one for my TC3. The steering rack has a servo saving feature built in. You may want to back the screw out (check your manual) which you can adjust through a small hole in the bottom of the chassis. The manual states the screw should be flush with the top of the nut.

I forgot to mention, I have the NTC3 steering rack mod. Maybe I gotta look at it again and make sure everything is lined up right. Maybe that's why the servo went on me... |
Anyone have trouble with the diffs in their tc3? I cant get my front diff working right. Took it out, inspected it, reassembled it and reinstalled. If I set the diff loose enough to allow one wheel to spin opposite of the other then neither of the front wheels get full traction as if the diff is slipping under acceleration. If I set it tight enough to get full acceleration at the front wheels, it loses all ability to act like a diff, and is more like a spool. Whats the deal? My rear diff works nice, and I cant see anything that would cause the front diff to work any differently.

im not qiure sure if this is the problem but take it out and disassemble it and take out any burrs and make sure you take out all the grit(dirt or shavings) and then spray it with some motor cleaner or buggy blast and then install like before if it doesn't do any good then sorry

Problem fixed. Previous owner decided that outdrives from a pro4 would work nicely in the front of a tc3. Installed new associated out drives in the front diff, works great now. nice and smooth

what the heck he put a pro4 one way on the tc3  i never tought of that but i guess it wont work

PLASTIC BLOCK CARRIER BUSHINGS
Does any one know where I can find PLASTIC BLOCK CARRIER BUSHINGS? I've got some aluminum block carriers and I want to use them but it has some missing plastic bushings. I have some regular steel ones but I don't want to use those. It may damage the aluminum and eventually become too loose. Thanks.

Can anyone suggest a good TC3 setup for carpet mod? I can run foam or rubber. Will be running a GTB with the 5.5 setup and gp33's. Chassi has been modified with batteries more central, it has TC4 chassis stiffeners, and towers. I have a NTC3 steering rack setup ready to go in also. Can someone please post me a good setup for my TC3 on carpet? Thanks :D
|
You shouldnt need the NTC3 steering rack setup if your only running carpet. That mod is done because of rocks getting caught in the steering rack. hopefully there arent many rocks at your carpet track. :p

I thought it was more a tuning option? Looking at the steering arrangements, theres a huge difference in steering linkage angles between the rack and the swingrack??? can anyone confirm if its worth changing to the swingrack?????? thanks

What chassis stiffeners are you using? The ones mounted in the corners? |
after reading this i would say change it if you TRULY TRULY NEED IT or want it and if you do just put spacers to lower the ankerman but i wouldnt really recomend it for carpet racing
|
I tried that but then the cups hit prematurely where the swing rack is connected to the posts. Your turning radius goes down alot.
|
oh then im not sure what to say well i guess i wouldnt do it no more since your dong carpet anyway
