Gonna try and upgrade my pinion and spur gears from 48 pitch to 64 on my TC3..... Any recomendations/advice most welcomed!!!!!!

go for a 96-98-100 spur and 26-33 pinions in general, figure out the gear ratio range your using now and buy the same ratio range in 64p

Im currently running a 48 pitch 72 Spur, what difference would running a 68pitch make?

You get more tuning possibilities when you go to 64 pitch from 48 pitch. You get more gear ratio options. Plus 64 pitch is quieter and has less friction.

ooooo i might do that thanks very much :D

What should the final drive ratio be for the TC3?

PaZ 01-10-2005 03:04 AM

Ok... I went to the Losi C Hubs and knuckles in the front of my TC3 for the supposed durability issues... Only problem is the car has become extremely unpredictable to drive.... It now has so much steering that my D/R is at like 50%, I've never had to drop D/R that low.... Anyone else have similar issues? Oh yea, I tested with both a Strtus and an Alpha, it was a little better with the alpha....

I just picked up a TC3 for carpet racing. What spares do you recommend outside outside of the RPM bumper?

Hi guys. I am new to rc and have bitten by the bug hard. I have a Losi XXXT and just got a TA TC3 last night. I have to say I love the car. Now this is a RTR version and I have already swapped the Radio for a JR that came with my Losi. What are some things I should do and what are some upgrades I should make? Also since the place I plan to race to start with does not have a permanent track what would be a good way to practice? Thanks for the help.

What kind of surface are you going to be racing on??? The best advice is to talk to the other guys you're going to race with and see what they do....

It is going to be asphalt. It seems pretty smoth to me, but then again what do I know.
