Brion, the chassis looks really good. It's just too bad you didn't price it competitively... Look at BMI (even though you probably already have)!

So far in testing, when we can find the other chassis at the track, We have usually been consistently faster than the IRS, Warpspeed, and BMI chassis. The BMI Chassis is the least expensive of the group and ours is the second least but is the only chassis to include shock towers.

As far as other comparisons I am not sure what you are asking for, Specs, Performance, adjustibility, ect...

Right now we have 5 team drivers running the car or soon to run the car, as they just got theirs.

Mike Collins - Won the ROAR Regionals
Ray Seebaugh - Currently leading RC Nation Points
Charlie Barnes
Tony Phalen - Soon to hit the track
and Bill Martinez - Getting the car ready for the Reedy Race.

Price Comparison (list) of the chassis is:

BMI Extreme: $109.99 or $119.99 (depending on color)
Includes - Upper Deck, Lower Deck, and Motor Mount

Warpspeed D2: $250.00 or $270.00 (depending on color)
Includes - Upper Deck, Lower Deck, Battery Bar, and Motor Mount

IRS150 and 155: $227.94
Includes - Lower Deck, Center Deck, Side Braces, Corner Braces, Antenna Mount, and Motor Mount

Penguin r/c P5500: $184.99
Includes - Lower Deck, Side Braces, Corner Braces, Front Shock Tower, Rear Shock Tower, 5th Body Post mount, and Motor Mount

The P5500 is also the most adjustible chassis availible, Stiffness and layout wise.

We feel the price is right in line with where it should be as you get more and pay less for it. The BMI is still a little bit less than ours if you add the $50.00 that our front and rear shock towers are, other manufactures shock towers are considerably more expensive.

Hobby Shops may choose to sell the chassis for less than $184.99 but directly we do have to stay at list price so that we do not undercut our dealers.

Looks like a great chassis. However it may of come out too late with all the TC4 rumors abounding...

Warpspeed racings Published price list stated retail price at $250.00 - $270.00 the do give a deal to racers at $190.00 - $205.00 according to their pricelist..

If they are actually selling it for $120.00 to $140.00 they are undercutting their own published pricing..

A Hobby Shop if they chose to may be able to match that price with the P5500, however, that would be entirely up to them.

no one pays retail or list for a kit.

That is true..

however what is kinda interesting in the whole pricing thing is if you take BMI's Kit and add the Shock Towers which are not included with the kit you would be taking that $110.00 or $120.00 price up to $160.00 - $170.00 ($50 for Graphite Shock towers, $18 for graphite corner Braces)

Only $15 - $25 less than the Retail price of the 5500 without as many options. for tuning or layout.

Then take Warpspeeds chassis at a street price of $120 - 140 and add just the shock towers and you are at $170 - $190 essentially the same price without the options and track record.

Then if you can get a dealer to order you one and give a discount from retail you would actually be getting more car than either of the above for less money. Hence why the price of this chassis kit is where we belive it should be especially given all the development put into it to make it a proven winner before even being released to the public.

Anyway, we will let the chassis performance speak for itself as it is one of the only aftermarket chassis to win a major ROAR event in Touring cars.
and we are shooting for more.

Brion, i reckon it looks pretty awesome and the price is pretty good, for what you get it seems to me like good value

about the bearings/bushings in lightweight diffs: the old steel diffs used bearings, when the newer ones came out asso switched to thinner bushings, claiming bearings wouldn't work for some reason. They have since (i believe) released a bearing for the lightweight hubs which has the same dimensions as the bushings (thinner than the old bearings for steel diffs), so depending what bearings you have they may or may not fit

DaveW: I only know of one other thing you could try, there are these cool magnet things you can get that go onto the speedy's motor wires that are supposed to reduce glitching. i don't know what they're called or where to get them, but they're the things you see on PS2 controller leads and many 12v charger input leads

Cain, not sure if you are still getting that pinching, but the fix is simply to leave the screws quite loose, I think there's a small note somewhere in the manual about it saying if you overtighten the screws the cap will pinch the bearings, just watch out for it)
