I need some help with the steering blocks on my tc3 I have had nothing but trouble with the ball stud coming loose that goes through the carrier and into the steering block I have had too many new sets of steering blocks on the car and tried a set from dynamite only to find them to be manufactured to sloppy.

has anybody had trouble with this?

any other steering blocks to try?

thanks in advance

Rodney

Are you tightening the stud all the way or leaving it loose for freeplay.

Can someone post part numers of the Losi Knuckles?

Do any other parts have to be changed or do the bearings & carriers fit?

Thanks

gears

does anyone know where to buy 3914 and 1732 gears

But don´t forget that the Losi Knuckels give the car a lot more steering throw which can make it very nervous...
I´ve tried them but switched back to the originals.

I´ve also had the problem of the ballstud comming loose.
The stud makes a thread in the plastic when it is screwed in for the first time. Everytime you screw the ballstud in again try to find into this thread again. If you don´t the thread gets damaged.

If this dos not help try to use a new set of ballstuds. There are some patches of them where the center diameter of the thread is too large.

I´ve never had a ballstud comming loose since I´ve switched to a new set.

hope this helps...

devil, what is a 1732 gear? KT Hobbies has both the ring and pinion gear in the 3914 package.

A few of my fellow racers have been using Helicoil's in the ae knuckle(the metal threads...) and you never have to replace them again...
I myself have had problems with the Losi, and the ae steering knuckles(somewhat less problems with the Losi knuckles though) and I came to the conclusion that when running the Losi knuckles, it gives a different angle of ackerman. Which creates a different amount of bumpsteer, and makes my car a little more twichey(in all reality, it could make your car push, but this is what I have found on MY car).
I have not had this problem in some time(knock wood), but when it does, I will use the helicoils to fix the problem.

You will have to change the front toe on the car when instaling the Losi steering knuckles. If you were to leave it the same, the front would have drastic toe OUT.

Phone book...
then look under hobby...
then find a hobby shop close to you...
call them, and ask for the parts that you need(part numbers help, so that is a good thing)
If they have it, then that is good, and you did not have to go far, but if they DO NOT have the parts, then you might have to check more places to find where they will have the parts.
