another reason why one-ways are banned is bcos they actually make the car non-4WD on certain aspects(braking) and it violates the 4WD rule which is basic,underlying.
the spools would definitely be allowed as it's a solid axle,drive and brake is there all the time on the axle.

the spool does make us drive closer as the car are easier to drive when your following closely and you try to out brake the other cars plus you dont have to be on the edge waiting to catch youre car when its trying to spin out in front of a pack of 10 cars.

i think that it will encourage more racers to race onroad that come from offroad(because they can use the breaks without spinning out)

one ways are banned? i dont think they are, i might put one back into my tc3. but cvds keep bending from the one way.

I don't think they're banned. I just think they're not being allowed in some major races. I've never heard of any clubs or anybody not allowing the use of one ways.

Probably neither, they both do the same thing in a crash. On impact, they transfer a lot of energy through the drivetrain(because there's no diff to slip, even a little bit), so something has to give, which is usually the CVD's. That's why I got away from using aluminum CVD's, WAY too expensive to shred like that....:cool:

they should bend the same, but when i was using my spool to get redy for the reedy race, it was easier on the cvd's, and for a oneway i always use steel mip shiney cvd's!


accually i noticed that some ae guys were putting on NTC3RTR cv joints(they are also steel) and that seemed to help a lot, but i would stick with the shiney's

i sanded my gear cases the other night, what a difference it maded. i recommend it greatly. can now get 6 seconds

Glue
 

Does anyone know any good glue that sticks well to the TC3 chassis?

I've milled out part of the center ribs and need to glue a piece of foam in and ive also milled out a lil too much and the batterys can hit the shaft so i need to glue something to the rib to keep the batterys from moving. I need something that wont pop off even if the batteries beat on it once and a while.

glue might not be necessary.try double tape.

If you dont will you lose performance?

Most guys for certain use connectors (Corally-style) to the batteries for sure.
To the motor is often soldered.
But over here a lot of guys use quality connectors to the motor also.
Especially when starting out in electro, use connectors!
