you can use any kind of polishing oil, even car polish, i actually used some leftover 800 wet/dry sandpaper from lapping my heatsink a while back, works well and works quickly.

If the car is new right from the box, normally there is lot of burr between C-hubs and A-arms. Also some burrs are normally located in hinge pin inner outputs on the A-arm. Remove them first.

Re: Battery fitting

Thanks Hooked, that worked perfect. I also used the Trinity Bars, (they are flat) instead of Deans.

The batteries fit nice and snug now.

Mine was the same and after a few practice laps the arms freed up. That and make sure you don't have a defective ballcup that binds on the ballstud. I've never had an AE ballcup bind up but I have had Losi and RPM ballcups bind on a ballstud. I've also had some defective titanium ballstuds from robinson racing do the same. You don't need to polish any ballstuds or hinge pins.

Been a couple of years since my FT TC3 was new, but I remember a lot of masaging of the arms to get them to hang free.

Mostly sanding material where the arms and c-hubs meet. Ballcups will loosen after you pop them once or twice and the hinge pin polishing just seems like a waste of time.

Proudwinner,

I actually had a bad AE ballstud on my last FTTC3 kit. It was the wrong diameter and was rough. No biggie because I had a spare, but it does happen. *shrug*

the front and rear arms, the suspension holders, but the breakage will be less as soon as you get acustomed to the car, get a BRP,RPM or a penguin bumper.

You'll mainly want to stock up on front arms and hinge pins. Get the BRP polished steel hinge pins they are slightly stronger than the stock AE pins. Spare front arms holders are nice to have around too.

thanks

Get a RPM front bumper too. I haven't broken my front end once with it, you can get it from Tower too. I don't think he meant the suspension arm mounts, I think he meant the actual hinge pins. Hope this helps.
