You don't have to change the speed controller but instead of the MVP I would suggest the Trinity Monster.

You can use a NTC3 case on a TC3, but you can't go the other way. . .the NTC3 had extra holes on it. . .

The trany cases are a running change, AE only really offers one now. You have two part numbers, electric & gas, but both are the same now. They use the NTC3 cases on everything. I still can't figure out why they price the "NTC3" part number lower($5 vs. $9). Oh well, buy as many as you can @ $5 before they get rid of that part number.

Thanks for the input

TRANNY CASE
will there be any benefit in perf, if we shift to the NTC3 tranny case?
if we use that then we have to use the shock towers of the NTC3? what help will that do?
SO many questions, but hope you could answer

No gain in performance. You can use either shock tower with the NTC3 case, electric or nitro. The only differance is the added bosses (for the nitro tower), and the NTC3 case has a bevel inside where the pinion gear rides. You won't have a choice soon anyway, all the local hobby shops here already have the NTC3 cases under both part numbers.

iTrader: (19)
monster pro V. rtr
which is better for indoor carpet racing (larrys rc in MI).
MONSTER Pro or Team Associated Power 19 (rtr motor)
guy at Larrys told me to get the monster pro when i asked him, "what would b a good motor for a TC3 for racing here?" The Por is 27T ans the RTR one is 19T, which is faster and beter??

I think it would depend which class you wanna race, cuz the monster would put you in a different class then the 19t motor. I don't think that one would be better for carpet racing then the other. But I may be wrong .

the 19t that comes with the rtr kits will be slower then just about any recent 27t stock motor out there. the associated 19t is a sealed endbell motor and the comm cannot be maintained or cut. it would not really be legal for the stock class. so in the long run youd be better off going for the monster stock. it will be much faster than you kit motor and it is also rebuildable.
