The exige 2.0 F1 sport tuned, is it roar legal? I cannot find a matching stock number to whats on roar 's site as of yet. I know they are 2800kv..

How does it stack up to the 17.5/21.5 from others? what does it compare to in brushed? 27 or 23T?

sorry for questions, Im only looking at it because it is sensorless, on the roar list and i want to run a CC sidewinder esc in F1 only...

Thanks..

Can someone explain this for me?

I am running a 17.5 Fantom Ion motor the timing is at maximum (20deg). I also have a SP GT 2.0 with the latest software installed (again everything at the maximum settings).

I geared one tooth higher on the pinion so the FDR went from 3.84 down to 3.72. I was really expecting to overheat the motor, but not the case.

Not only did the car go much much faster, the unusual thing was the motor temp after the 5 min run dropped (was 167 F it dropped to 144 F).

So was I under geared initially?

Well as I see it the brushless motor react the same undergeared as overheated. You need to find the "sweet spot" for your esc/motor/batt/style combo. I jumped 4 teeth this weekend from my normal ratio and the motor functioned as if it had nitrous and ran equally as cool. But if I was to go too far it would overheat as so would undergeared. So you need to experiment trackside. I hope this helps.

It is not Roar legal, and it's supposed to be compatible to a 17.5 but i feel it's more like a 21.5

Adam,
Thanks, if its closer to a 21.5 thats fine. Not looking for mega modified horsepower in a F1, just a good brushless equivelant to stock if the class goes that way.

Adam, how long is the Version 3.0 can and how much do the connectors stick out normally. I am asking as I have a Team Magic car and space is critical as the motor is contained within the chassis. As always thanks for your help.

It sticks out by another 3-5mm from the end, depending on what gauge wire is soldered on. The motor itself is the same length as prevoius motors.

I would like to say thanks to Speed Passion ( king Golden ) for there service.
They fixed my speed control , and shipped it back to me in a week ( i live in Greece , Speed Passion service is in Hong Kong ) with no charge at all.
I had a problem with the sensor cable and also the speed control wasnt doing any sound.
They replace the electronics from inside the esc ( gt2 pro ) and change also the bottom case ( clear one now ) and now i can see the red and green light very clear .
Also i would like to say thanks to Shawn and Adam for helping me ( Shawn forward my emails to Speed Passion ) .

By the way a tip to everyone , dont try to stop the car by putting your finger to the spur gear its painful .
I lost control of the car trying to set it up ( make a mistake at the settings ) and the car went full throttle. I tried to grab it and the middle finger of my right hand got stuck in the spur gear , nearly lost it . ( my finger not the car )
