I have the SP GT 2.0 Pro Carbon edition. Ive set the cut off to 2.8 Volts. But it does not cut as I expected. It droops drasticly in power but does not stop completely, Is this correct?
The same happend when I set i to 3.0 Volts

The 2.0 does not have a hard cut off but a soft, that allows you to drive the car slowly.
Prefer it to a hard cut helps you get off the track with out worrying of being hit by traffic.

I mention Below Speedpassion
v2.0 PRO for 800A
v2.0 LPF for 440A
Both came from Speedpassion.
But the most important question is this,

Speedpassion had 4 latest version on GT2.0

Speedpassion GT 2.0 PRO Carbon Black Edition
Speedpassion GT 2.0 LPF Carbon Black Edition
Speedpassion GT 2.0 PRO Blue Star Edition
Speedpassion GT 2.0 LPF Blue Star Edition

at Speedpassion GT 1 PRO Card it has "Motor Type" to select Motor Brushed,
where at Speedpassion GT2 had no "Motor Type" to select Motor Brushed.

Which Speed passion GT 2.0 can Use Brushed Motor ?
and Shawn, Be Explanative, because Brushed Motor had good DragBrake

if you see that at Program Card v2.0 there is no "Motor Type"
that was the pocket sized programming box.

SO there is another way to set or updates speedpassion GT2.0 by this :

"Built in ESC enhancement feature allows you to update to our latest software and future new developments (USB software upgrade kit “Professional LCD program unit PN#SPLCD01” are sold separately," "

See that that's means GT2.0 can be Upgraded with LCD
Here's The Manual of GT2.0
See The manual at page 7 on
2. Programmable Values
2.10. Motor Type: Select brushless or brushed motor according to the motor in your car. WARNING: You must set this programmable item correctly according to the wiring method you are using, and BEFORE applying power to the ESC with the new wiring arrangement.
www.racing-cars.com/images/GT2_LPF_Manual.pdf 2MB

And there is also other way to Apply your GT2.0 "Motor Type" with PC
through Downloadable Software USB Link from Speed passion.
on "Advanced" Tab.
See my Attachment.

There is also Database on USB Link Software, at
"Software" Tab
there is UPGRADE Button, wich i believe it's a firmware for car ESC
This way We might use firmware from older version or GT1
Software version : v1.0_HW_xxx
Choice version : v1.00_HW_xxx
See my Attachment.

This Could allow us to Select "Motor type" to use Brushed Motor?

No, the ESC will NOT run brushed motors.

If you need to run brushed motors I would suggest buying a brushed motor ESC like the Tekin FX1, or LRP QC3.

Or are you just trolling our thread trying to help by posting all our specs?

Well the Tekin RX8 is made for 8th scale, not 10th, the Tekin FX1 is specifically made for brushed motors, not brushless.

The GT 1.1 will run brushed or brushless

and the 2.0 is specifically designed for ONLY brushless, no brushed.

Here's an explanation, 99.9% of R/C racers that run a "Brushless ESC" only use "brushless" motors. Only a person making that transition from brushed to brushless will use a "Brushless ESC" for brushed motor use. After a short period of time they will make the full transition to brushless motors. so there is no need for them to use the brushed motor functionality of the ESC any longer. We decided in the design process of the GT 2.0 to only offer brushless compatibility after watching what racers used and large races around the world, less than 5% of racers used brushed motors in the back half of 2008 and the beginning of 2009. So the decision was made to only offer brushless on the new ESC.

Thank's for the explanation.

Speedpassion GT1.1 had weight 39g without wires, but
Speedpassion GT2.0 had weight 60-65g
isn't this means GT2.0 have add more component's or heavier component's ?

if only 5% Brushed motor user was the reason for the GT2.0
What is the differences Between Speedpassion GT2.0 Black Carbon Edition with Speedpassion GT2.0 Blue Star Edition rather than their appearance ?

They are both the same thing but I like the blue star better coz I drive a Tamiya which kind of add a bit of bling factor to it.

Your questions asks if "insert anything here" would be good for stock racing compared to the GT 2.0.

The answer is; what are you comparing it to?

So, Speedpassion 4 latest version on GT2.0
Speedpassion GT 2.0 PRO Carbon Black Edition
Speedpassion GT 2.0 LPF Carbon Black Edition
Speedpassion GT 2.0 PRO Blue Star Edition
Speedpassion GT 2.0 LPF Blue Star Edition
Is the same and the diffrences is just between LPF and PRO for GT 2.0.

Could Speedpassion GT1.1 pocket sized programming box/card work's on Speedpassion GT2.0 ESC ?

Questions?? Braking

Hi,

(1) The TEKIN RS (with say 10.5T BL + Boost) has an acknowledged high speed braking issue. It is only obvious when taking a tight corner, at end of a long straight, usually on large tracks (were talking ~200' straight, ~1000' track length, and modified 4/4.5T BL speeds).

(2) Does the SP GT Pro 2 have any braking issues (under like conditions) ?

(3) Will the SP GT Pro 2 work satisfactorily with the TEKIN 10.5T BL Redline ?

Thanks in advance
