I am reading the last posts since December and i canot find anything about 731c firmware.
Does anyone knows whats about that program?
I am using 4.5T V3 motor and 323 program.
Is the 731 better for mod motors?
Thanks

I originally posted this question on the 12scale thread but this might be a better place to ask.
Question to anyone running an external receiver pack (7.4 lipo etc) on SP v2 esc.
Do you guys still plug all 3 esc wires (Red, White & Black) in the receiver when running a external receiver pack? or do you not plug the RED.
I've tried taking the Red wire out the everything works Ok when running an external pack but is a hassle when changing ESC settings as I need to plug back the Red wire again when connecting to program card.
Thanks in advance.

All right, with my MI4 I had to change to a 106 spur as I didn't have range to go down 4 teeth on pinion as motor was almost against the bulkhead and rear sprocket. 106/46 gives 4.147 FDR. Will give that a try.

tried the 107 VTA class, with a Novak Ballistic 21.5 . took a bit to figure out how to get it to work well, had no torque, so eventually I settled on 10 degrees timing on the motor, and about a 5.00 FDR, and went with a VTA friendly timing of 11.25 (any reason we can't adjust timing in single increments?) .
With this kind of setup, it woke my motor up for the track. I was very surprised how much more punch I had than before, almost night and day. I was worried for a second that my ESC was messed up or something. And temps was still in the 135 degree range after 8 minutes.

SP 13.5T V3.... FDR is only 6.3...max allowed in our winter series....but plenty fast for our track...
(some guys run FDR around 8 with SPX and this motor and are fast, i.e. winning)
Motor should be able to take quite a bit more with free FDR...but needs testing...
Toni Rheinard recommended 4.7 with 107 firmware...

Too anyone who says the SP speedo is a bit big... it does fit in almost anything! (only a minor bit of bodyshell shaping need
). Some thinner motor wires and superflexy sensor lead are on their way to make it neater still
Actually tried out a few bits today, switching between the 323a, 110 and 107 Stock firmwares. Have to say, I prefered the 107Stock, but with the timing up at max, and DRRS at 7. Plenty of rip out of the corners, and good (it seemed) top speed. Was a bit hard to gauge as I was the only 12th running round, so was just going off lap time and feel. But for my first time out with a 12th, felt really good

Nice job there Ed.......what motor and roll-out? If I may ask
4cell nimh vs 1s lipo, the extra volt might make enough difference to be able to run the 107 and 110. I found that I couldn't run those on 1s 13.5. If that is a mod set-up you have got there....the extra revs might account for the usability of the new software. (noticed itty-bitty pinion)
Does your set-up run ok without a booster or rec pack? 5, 6 or 8 min run time?
