You dragged up a thread that's 9 months old to say THAT? :weird:

Honestly, I didn't even know they made a blue M05 chassis.

Question on pinions

Hello there ah was wondering besides the tamiya AV pinions is there any other options ? how about the Kawada Super Duralumin Pinion can it be used for m05's gears ?

hi guys,

only thing I want to know after searching hours on internet does the HPI Datsun 510 body fits a Tamiya M05Pro chassis? and which chassis is better the M05Pro or the M06Pro?

regards,

Davey

It would fit the mid configuration. HPI Datsun should be a 225mm.

ok becasue I was told that it wont fit M03 because of the steering servo.
so how is that with M05Pro then :)

sipaboy 08-21-2012 12:48 PM

M05 is a lower profile chassis

DaveyZ 08-21-2012 01:15 PM

so it will fit the hpi datsun 510 body.. because then I will not buy a m06pro but a m05pro

I have the Datsun 510 body from HPI and it fits my M05 pro. I use it for display only. I run the M05 mostly with the Swift body. I also have an unpainted Honda Civic that fits.

Has anyone recently installed the Spec-R gear diff in their M-05? I've just received mine and I'm not sure what weight of silicine diff fluid to use. I'm thinking that a stiff diff, like I was using with the TA-03 ball diff is the way to go. Maybe something like the Ofna 120,000 weight fluid. Thoughts?

silvalis 09-12-2012 05:49 PM

300k works pretty well.

frost2k3 04-20-2014 09:51 PM

With 300K diff oil on m05 did you all experience the car veer to one direction when on acceleration on the straight?

Kind of like torque steer...

Regards
Ken
