I find they wear wierd if you don't grind the seam down......But they are just as fast time wise

Yes, I've noticed my fronts seemed to have peeled away from the center seam as in the photos too. I did not grind the seam down before I ran them.
I also noticed the roughed up outer edges as well. This was all after a single 5-min run in practice with no additive. I was kinda freaked, but others told me it would be fine.
27T, asphalt parking lot, soda preped, super tight track, -1.5* camber...
I was having a terrible time driving though which I think was attributed to a bad rear wheel bearing I had missed, and front diff that worked loose. Hopefully things get much better next time out.
I would really like to give the buggy grip & tire tweak a try. The fast guys at our track use Sorex 36R (non premount) and Corrally Jack-the-gripper sauce.

Does Trinity's Buggy Grip 2 work as well as the original? I was thinking about placing an order, but wanted to check with others first...
Also, what's the best way to apply Buggy Grip and Tire Tweak. I'm used to sauces with applicators in the cans like FX2 and Jack, but I see the Trinity products don't have them...

Yep! That's been my current experience between the two. Scotty nailed it!
Last time I raced at NorCal, the one set of SJR 36's I have been using were on their 13-14 run (5-6 min each). After my last practice day, they are up to 17-18 runs. I finally bought a second set; but, may well get through my next practice before changing them...
Kudos to Billy B for making this tire/wheel/insert combo happen. A big boost to on-road.

Not sure what I'm missing here. I've been running the Speedmind Sorex 36's at a med grip track and just changed over to the SJR's this week. We've been running Buggy grip to clean then 1/2 hr+ tweak with good results on the speedminds. After changing to the SJR's from a 6 run spedmind I clearly lost grip. I had prepped them by sanding the bead down on a drill press w 150 grit prior. Finally when the track temp hit 130 (outside temp 92) and 2/3 the way thru run 2 they started to stick...kinda the opposite of many other tires on this track.

I use Tire Tweak for about 15-20 minutes, wipe it off and THEN quickly clean with Buggy Grip. They should be good to go. This procedure is per Billy Bowerman of SpeedWorld.
I am using the SJR 36s all the time. Including our Thursday night racing at NorCal because the traction goes sky high after the sun goes down. Have never been able to get a hold of any 28s or 32s. Don't seem to need them for California.

If you wanted best scenario for mains... you'd make 2 runs then run 3 for mains then? Kinda a different stratagy...but doable if they last longer.

Excellent...thanks Bill. Guess thats right where I'm at run 2 in mod and 2/3 the way they started to feel good. I'll try the reverse tweak method without sanding. So the Buggy grip your wiping off and basically getting residue off tires before run?

If you don't like them, just send em to me...Probably can give you about 20-30 used sets of Jaco Blues that I have trashed at NorCal for them...
