jtveten, I did not use the screw on weights as they were not available at the time. I used the lipo locator tray to balance the car. I'll add up how many I needed and get back to you.

There are holes in the center of the shock tower you can use to check L/R balance of the car.

Thumbs up

I ran my 'pre-release' photon at the weekend and was very impressed, the first time it turned a wheel it was glued to the track and had a lot of steering. My silly errors meant I only had 3 full runs with it, one tyre coming unglued and a battery bar coming off kind of limited my fun!

Great car though, excellent quality and the instructions are fantastic....highly recommended. Looking forward to running it this weekend in Scotland with Luke, Keith, Stew and the rest of the T.O.P UK/Much-More UK team

Thanks E.J. for the quick response. I want to order the necessary weights to balance the car. If you think the screw in weights would be better or a combination that's what I'll do. I'm going to be using a JR servo, a Tekin RS esc., a Tekin 13.5, a Fast rec., and a AMB pt.
Thanks

It's very hard to get motivated to race with my current car knowing there's a new one on its way to me soon.

What was your old car? Was it the previous TOP car? If so, what did it go for? I may have to do the same . My Photon should be arriving next week.

E.J., can you explain the best way to use those holes to balance it?
Thanks,

Probably by passing a piece of string through the centre of the car under the shock towers, then hang the car from the string which runs through the holes in the shock tower. We'll let E.J. confirm that though

That sounds simple enough.
I have been using 2 of my body mount tools from Team-Titan and balancing the chassis on them.
Using the shock mount would be easier but doubt as accurate as below the chassis.
