Dave

I switched from T2 007 us to an EU edition and I use the same setup as the T@ 008. 2.6 in front and 2.4 in rear.
the springs are both black in color. prior to that i was using white all the way round

I actually might have 2.2 in the rear... as i was trying to get the rear end under control going into and mid way in the turns.

Whats the difference between the Colored and Number springs?
Dave

bluephi1914 05-17-2009 02:38 PM

I think the year the springs were made... blacks came on my T2 008 EU

Their is a conversion chart floating out there somewhere... I race at nexus and one of the owners had a conversion chart showing what the black 2.6 was equal to and what the 2.4 is euqal to...... and so on a so forth... let me see if i can track it down for you.

Check this link out. Black springs are shorter according to xray site.

The conversion chart is in the link.

Dave

I have actually upgraded to the T2 008 EU for my vintage. I had a little to much wheel chatter in my T2 007 EU and figured for the price of two ECS axles i could sell my T2 007 and put that $100 with it and get an 08 .

I am selling the 07 as we speak.

Well I am stilling waiting to get my 007's ready to run. The hobby shop that I race at is waiting to get more parts to place an order. I have been racing dirt oval and I know that track has Xray parts. I should be running my Xrays at the end of August.
Thank you for the help
Dave

We'll got my 008 and got it set up, wheel chatter is at a minimum and thats a plus. handling is also better. I think that I made the right choice. I am loving my vintage that much more now!

dragracer72nova 08-02-2009 08:31 AM

Did you notice any difference between the two(007 to the 008)?
Dave

Wheel chatter is much better with my 008 EU in comparison to my 007 EU.... as a result I think that it flows through the turns much smoother. My 007 EU handled good... but the wheel chatter was unbearable... even after making the modifications to the drive axles from the nexusracing.com web site, it still chattered.

Since I was already running a 008 EU for my touring car that had alot to do with my decision to get another 008 for vintage.

I set it up identical to my touring car... Shocks, springs, servo... everything is just about the same.... Hell I am driving my vintage like a touring car.

008 EU is a faster car.. maybe some of it is mental, but it flows through the turns faster, and that was were I was loosing some of my speed.

I am finally will be getting my 007's on the track this week. I had to use Tamiya touring car springs for the time being. I will see if the track has some Xray ones in stock. Hopefully everything works for me.
Thank you for the help, I will keep you posted.
Dave

Well I finally made it to the track with my 007eu. I love the car! I am running the Blue/Green springs on my car Front/Rear. Sway bars on both ends too. I should be able to figure somemore things out this Sunday.
Thank you for the help!
Dave
