What are you running for batteries? NiMh or Lipo? What kind of motor and what wind? Need more info about your setup to help.

Do you have another motor you can try? Rotors can go bad after a while.

What's the verdict on using SPX with a brushed motor? Everything runs fine afterwards? No funny malfunctions or anything?

Kinda worried having to solder two of the three ABC wires together...

I recently sent mine back to LRP, at Team Associated, it was repaired and sent back. The whole procees took about 5 weeks. I did not have to pay for any repairs as it was under warranty period. Even if you have to pay for repairs I imagine it would be much less than new ESC.

Does anyone here run this ESC with the standard Johnson 540?

If so, how does it go? Do you need to add any capacitors or anything like that?

Thanks!

I am looking at trying mod and I was lead to believe you can run a mod motor on the spx Stock spec running mode 1-4 if this is correct which settings have you found best.

(running Novak or LRP mod motor)?

Cheers in advance

The SPX will work great with a mod motor. I've used one for quite some time in my B44, with Novak and LRP motors, on profiles 1 thru 5 with no problems and very happy with the setup. I wouldn't go any higher than profile 5....

I've not ran mine long enough for the lipo to be that low on volts, but I'd imagine that as with any other speedo that has a lipo cut off, it will "stutter" to let you know it's running low.

Default SPX FDR opinions

I have to revert back to my SPX Stock Spec speedie this weekend and have been playing around with a FDR of around 5.

I'm running a T3 with a DUO 2 motor with 3 notches of plus timing (30 degrees). Settings on the SPX are 1 8 2 0.

The track has a 30 meter (100 ft) straight, with reasonably tight infield.

Any thoughts on FDR..? I've heard I should be up around 6.5 to 7... but .... I'm thinking closer to 4.2 - 4.5 may be better.

Opinions
