@jamesalex: you use an X11 10.5t and not an X12 10.5t. Correct?

For the X11 10.5t I'd suggest profile 8 on SPX StockSpec, so the recommended mode settings for your usage would be 2-8-0-0 and don't bother using powerprofile 6!
Then gear from there until you reach acceptable speed. Btw, when you mention it's slow, does that relate to other cars?

I'm unfortunately no expert for WGT to be honest with you, as we don't have this class in Europe, but I'm confident some of our US racers can give you advise for correct gearing.

Hi Burito,

Many thanks for the insite, yes I am running the x11, ye when I say slow it is compared with the other cars , basically it lacks a bit out of the corner being 3.7v but it is getting swallowed up down the straight by cars running cells and the tekin speed controller.

I will try these settings tonite.

Many thanks

James

Unfortunately, it's going to be tough to get an SPX to hang with the new Tekin software.

James,

Oops! My bad. Just one "r" in burito. He's da man!

Yes, the Tekins with the 2.03 software will eat you alive on the straights when they get into their turbo mode; but, can they hold it for 5-6 minutes...???

It's actually the instant power out of the corners that is a killer with the Tekin v203. The top speed difference isn't as bad.

Hey

Im stuck between the SPX Stock Spec speedo or the Speed passion. It will be run in a Schumacher Mi4 in pro stock and ocassionaly MOD. I dont like the idea of bringing my laptop when racing on a new track to try all the diffrent updates out then going to do timing, punch etc. Would everyone here say the SPX is as quick or quicker? It will be run with a Speed passion V3 10.5R

Default Question For Burito

Hi All

I have a question for Burito

I ran a SPX in a 4wd off road using profile 6, with a 17.5 motor, I now have a SXX TC in it at the moment, what profile setting in the SXX TC would be like the SPX 6 setting.

Regards
Gary

If you are in the market for a speedo for mostly stock racing, you should wait a couple of days for the LRP SXX StocSpec or the new SP 2.1 stock speedo.
(BTW, you do not need a PC for changing settings on the SP speedo, PC is only needed for software/firmware version changes (which you cannot do at all on the LRP speedo))

Personally I like the SP 2.0 GT better than the SPX, but who knows when we get the new LRP SXX SS in a few days...but then we have the new SP 2.1 stock coming soon as well...in any case, when all drivers have the new speedos, it will be the best drivers winning anyway...same as before...

So you've made the switch?

I'm new to 1/12th,but on my first race night , running an RB30 and Duo 10.5, I was keeping up reasonably on the infield, but getting thrashed on the straight. I had the turbo on and time shift high etc, but it came alive when I advanced the motor timing from 0 to 10 degrees.
Huge difference on the straight and stronger down low too.

Temp was still under 50 deg.C after 8 mins

Something to consider.
