I haven't ran my new setup on the 03, it's been raining here in Manila the past 2 weeks... we have an open track and it doesn't dry so quickly..
Anyways I'll post my testing results when weather permits.....

Testing the TA03R
I was able to do some testing the other day and I am haapy to inform you all of my findings with the new suspension setup I did on the 03R.
First of all here are the hardware and suspension set-up of the car:
Chassis: Tamiya TA03R Tub
Tyres: Sorex 40
ESC: Novak Atom
Battery: GP 3300mah Stick Pack
Radio: Futaba 3PK 40Mhz / 1024 PCM RX
Motor: Tamiya Type-R Gun Metal Can
Gearing: TA03F Pro 64pitch Gear set, 27t pinion
Body: Protoform 190mm Mazda 6
Shocks: Tamiya Low Friction, 1 piston hole
Did i miss something?:
This is the track where I ran the 03R
As I ran the 03 with the new suspension set-up, I immediately felt the tremendous increase in traction on the front suspension.. there was actually more grip in the front that it made the rear suspension loose on very tight corners.
I remedied this problem by replacing the front springs with Tamiya Yellow springs in place of the Blue springs I initially used. This change immediatley improved rear traction and solved the oversteer effect at medium speeds at tight corners, of course we all have to slow down at tight corners...
I was already having so much fun with this set-up that I actually ran 4 packs continiously and clocking 17sec low.. I had so much fun with the new set-up and handling was superb...
After all this I checked for tire wear and was so surprised that I almost finished the new tires! Well not entirely finished it like the belt was exposed.. The tires looked like I ran for weeks!
I guess the add in traction has actually induced more weight into the suspension and more wear for the tires... Maybe a 45R tires will last longer??
Anyway... if any of you guys try this set-up, post your finding here as well.... Maybe this a good set-up where one can develop the potential of the TA03R...
Good Luck!

That you did. Sold it when I got my TRF414. Been regretting it ever since.

Dongskie....do you happen to remember what company made those arms?
rough512....ahhh...i see....if you still know the person you sold the arms to, let them know, if they are interested in selling them, i've got $100 USD i'd be willing to pay for them....maybe more if he's hard up for cash.

Dongskie...GPM still makes lower arms for the TA03 but they are not like those pictured here.
and the problem is, i really need those pictured cause the damper doesn't mount below the arm, but right through the mid section.
oh well....
thanks for the reply....
