That is incorrect. Both the TA05 and 415 use a standard 3mm pitch (along with most touring cars). If you lay a TA05 and 415 belt side by side, you will see that they are indeed the exact same pitch.

Plus, they are labeled S3m, which is Bando's 3mm pitch designation.

And this is one of the reasons why I never told anybody to do a TA05 conversion...the stuff you see in the TRF cars are different, as I've stated in the past.

The text on the black rear belt that I have says (atleast from what I can read because it is worn out) UNITTA 180-36t-3 B30N17 206J038.

So to run foam tires you need to use the HPI front steering blocks correct? Do you need to use different axles or driveshafts?

Is there any other parts that would need to be changed to use foams?

I know the most accepted way is to use HPI knuckles etc, but i have always used std suspension, Evo 4 ball studs in the top, and shaved the top off the ball cup. Ive sometimes found some small amount of rubbing inside Jaco 28mm foams, but nothing really bad. Actually on my old 415, i always used the std ball studs and never really worried about it.

This is using the Std suspension, not the LWS. I prefer the Std suspension on carpet (guessing your on carpet too?)

Wil have to get some better info from guys who have run it. I find the LW suspension too fragile. We run on a very tight technical carpet track, and even the top drivers smack a board every now and then. Hence i run with the std suspension (prefer the handling also) hopefully one of the others who have experience with the LWS and foams can give you a better idea.

I don't know anything about foam, but for carpet and rubber all i have to say is DON'T use the MSX with the LW suspension

On another note, I'm selling my standard 415 (carpet car), I'll be making a post in the for sale section and put a link to it, same for the MSX a bit later on.

You'll need the axles from the cyclone, as they fit perfect. You can use the dogbones from LWT suspension though.
Also, with the HPI hubs, you need to place a shim above the knuckle to take up the space between the C-hub and knuckle, can't remember if it's 0.7mm or 1mm you need though, sorry.

I just got a call from my wife, she wasn't home when the shipment hit, this is *insane* Stella shipped out my MSXMRE yesterday and it was at my door today ...called DHL up, they sent a "message" to the driver to see if he can redeliver today, if not will be tomorrow.

from the pics on the Tamiya website, looks like B/A on the front and ?/D on the rear? Any other blocks included?
