MIke,
I sent you Martin Crisp's setup from the IIC. Do you want me to send it to you again?

I did get 2 spare posts and other bits extra so that evens out the missing ball ends.
Standard TA05 front knuckle uses 5x11 (1150) bearings.

415MSX uses 5x9 (950) bearings.

If you put this on a 415, you would also need to to change the axle shaft to the "regular" size like used on the TA04 / TB02 / TA05 / 415.

Default Balance

Front one way is OK.
Rear arms OK

It spins as I first turn into the corner.

You should not let go the throttle. The throttle must be on at least 20%. I am sure that your car will steer enough when entering the corner with throttle on.

Too much weight transfer to the front wheels when you go into the corner! What is the droop set at? The DJ set-up measures from the top of the axle to the bottom of the chassis!

Hey rubber tire gurus!!

ON a black groove Ozite track, if one tire is glued to rim, but the bead can seperate fully from rim (Lift off) will that casue a severe loose condition. To be very specific, if the LEFT fronts lifting off like that, will it spin out while entering or off power in right hand corners? Assume perfect tweak and perfect circles, perfect shocks, etc. This was with my 415Ms with one-way.

btw-the car felt great in left hand corners.
Thanks,
Ray

if your tire starts to come of the rim you usually get a push, at least thats what I have experienced

Depending on what rim/tyre is coming unglued will determine how your car will behave. If the tyre unglues at the front of the car, then it will push, and it will be particularly bad in one direction then the other. If its unglued on the rear, its spin time! You can control it to a point, but really it can be tough to drive.

Also, be prepared to see a stuffed rubber tyre too if thats what happens, particularly with a Sorex.

Yellow springs all around

40wt rear
One hole in on all top shock mounts
Takeoff 27's
on Net ball courts (like green tennis court surface, very grippy!)
EA monster stock
IB3800's

The car was lightning fast (several guys commented on the speed)
It just was so loose in the rear end.

I ended up with White springs on the front & red springs on the rear
I adjusted the front shock mount out one hole and the rear in one hole and it was much better, still a bit loose.

I look at the threads and everybody says how much grip they get from the 415.

My question is have I set something else up wrong which is causing the poor rear end grip?

Any input would be great.
Thanks guys.
Just to try and work it out to be sure, you aren't using the DJ Pro Module suspension are you?? I thought that the only setups online were setups for Pro Module suspension, therefore may not be ideal for just std LWT suspension. Try to revert to kit setting I think, with a bit of antisquat. I think that is a fairly decent enough setup as it is, as kit setting has quite a bit of push. Also, remove the urethane bushing too. I'd also run without sway bars too if you could help it.

Go find one of the fast guys at your track and ask them to drive it. I'd be willing to bet your letting off the throttle to much upon entry causing the rear to come around. I had the same problem for a few sessions when I first got my MS... once you learn to drive the one-way, its stupid fast. I dropped 7 tenths off my best lap time with my TC4 in only my second race with the MS.

I think you'll find it just a prototype and not on sale, but you wouls also need a new top deck and chassis as it's futher back than the standard steering
