Exclamation What the?

I'm just wondering WTF they are doing hanging the motor WAAAAAAAAAYYYY out to the left. Looks to me like the spur gear is dang near on the center line of the chassis...

At the same time, the battery slots now allow the batteries to sit a good 0.75 to 1 inch further back ... No need for saddle packs (some will say this is good) ...

More mass back and out? Seems like it would be more difficult to get a 50/50 mass balance with this motor/battery setup...

But then what do I know ... I don't work for Tamiya. It is good to see they are willing to try 'new' things, though.

'Nuff said,
MX4

it reminds me of what the last incarnation of the yokomo mr4tc special (belt drive) will be like if they had released aluminium bulkheads as an option.

Nice, looks like a belt driven Evo3 (suspension-wise) rather than a "new" car. I think I will stick with Evo3 for now.

Oop Ack! Just like the previous 4xx cars, the diff and one ways were a real pain to get too. Now they've compounded that by making the spur just as hard to get to. Imagine...a pebble can provide about 30 minutes of anguish hehe.

Very, very dissapointed.

I still prefare my full option TRF 414 WCR + Lightweight bulks, + SSG all over, + Square anti roll bar system.

Ever since I baught it I am consider the most credible force in my country's national championship.

I even prefer the EVO III Surikarn Edition over this messed up design.

Since Miura left Tamiya they have lost their way. The point is to make things easier, not harder.

Poor, poor, poor Surikarn! Look what he is going to have to deal with. I hope he sticks to his TBEVO III.

The only things I liked are the new shape of the Graphite Suspension towers and the fact that the front belt is dead center.

Not impressed....
