Just finished putting on the conversion a couple days ago. Nice!
I made a tool box out on the MS box.

Looking good! Mine should be arriving on Monday and I'll be building it straight away methinks. Then I should get a chance to run it on Wednesday night. I'm just going to use the LWT suspension first up and then use the DJ Pro Module suspension after that to see the difference.
Did you guys see these? Need to buy, haha.
Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to gear the reg 415 for a stock motor?? What should my finial drive be. I am running a p2k and a monster
Thanks
Thanks

If so it should fit fine. I have gone back and forth with LW and stock suspension on both the 2.5 and 3mm chassis. Only difference when going from chassis to chassis is the number of shims on the inner hingepins and the length of the hingepins.

Monster I run 37T (5-minute runs)
P2K Pro I run 36-37T (5-minute runs)
19t I run 38T (5-minute runs)
23T I run 38T (here in Thailand I race with the HPI/Orion 23T SL motors and most of us run them 5.6-5.8 ratios. (8-minute runs)
MSX Conversion on Std 415
Well I don't know why Tamiya says the MSX Conversion has to be mounted on a TRF415 with LW Suspension Kit?
My conversion has mounted fine on the Standard 415 with Standard suspension no problem. Also to note, you can mount the # 49344 heat sink beam in between the rear bulkheads and it looks cool compared to the standard brace in there.

190mph...I also coundn't understand why it could be mounted with the LW suspension? Wierd. Mine fit really well with the original arms. I kinda like the older arm set. After taking pix withe the LW sus. I put the old sets back.

I don't have my car in front of me right now but I think I have it set @ 33/104 with a final drive of 6.9 & after a 5 min race, the motor isn't extremely hot to touch. I did notice that I could still go one tooth higher to give a final drive of 6.7 to give more straight line top speed but might lose a little torque in the infield. But this is just my set-up based on the track I race on.
Just be careful though **drew85** not to fry your motor while your finding the right gear combo for your car. Hope my "2 cents" help you out.
