Looking good! Mine should be arriving on Monday and I'll be building it straight away methinks. Then I should get a chance to run it on Wednesday night. I'm just going to use the LWT suspension first up and then use the DJ Pro Module suspension after that to see the difference.

If so it should fit fine. I have gone back and forth with LW and stock suspension on both the 2.5 and 3mm chassis. Only difference when going from chassis to chassis is the number of shims on the inner hingepins and the length of the hingepins.
nexus will u come to Spfld IL and run?

If you use the stock 102T spur, with stock 27T motors, you should start out running 6-6.3 ratio. I run a 37T pinion. Maybe you can start from there.

Monster I run 37T (5-minute runs)
P2K Pro I run 36-37T (5-minute runs)
19t I run 38T (5-minute runs)
23T I run 38T (here in Thailand I race with the HPI/Orion 23T SL motors and most of us run them 5.6-5.8 ratios. (8-minute runs)

Default MSX Conversion on Std 415

Well I don't know why Tamiya says the MSX Conversion has to be mounted on a TRF415 with LW Suspension Kit?

My conversion has mounted fine on the Standard 415 with Standard suspension no problem. Also to note, you can mount the # 49344 heat sink beam in between the rear bulkheads and it looks cool compared to the standard brace in there.

190mph...I also coundn't understand why it could be mounted with the LW suspension? Wierd. Mine fit really well with the original arms. I kinda like the older arm set. After taking pix withe the LW sus. I put the old sets back.

Interesting. This does put a new spin on whether I get the MSX or not

i think it greatly depends on your track as well as your motor, i run a 7.8 ratio on my local very tight twisty track

Also to add to that, I guess the best thing you can do **drew85** is test out the different pinion gears/spur gear (ratio) based from the chart that's in the manual. I currently don't use the stock spur gear (102T) that came with the kit. I changed mine to 104T 64P Xenon spur gear to give the ratio I needed w/ the current 64P pinion gears I have already. I just had to re-calculate the ratios again using the formula that's in the manual. I currently run monster stock pro motor @ my LH asphalt track which is a pretty good size & medium grip level with a semi technical layout.

I don't have my car in front of me right now but I think I have it set @ 33/104 with a final drive of 6.9 & after a 5 min race, the motor isn't extremely hot to touch. I did notice that I could still go one tooth higher to give a final drive of 6.7 to give more straight line top speed but might lose a little torque in the infield. But this is just my set-up based on the track I race on.

Just be careful though **drew85** not to fry your motor while your finding the right gear combo for your car. Hope my "2 cents" help you out.
