questions, why on earth do you run a one way on the belt shafty thingy, or a center diff, to me it makes more sence to run it so that the same power goes to the front and back diffs (or front one way) at the same time/rate

Tryhard, i was on your site and was wondering if the gear ratio chart is for a stock 415? Does the stock 415 have 35 tooth pullies, 16 tooth centre pulley?

The 415 was awesome during this weekend's Reedy Race...it was far better than the nut behind the wheel Here's a few photo's that my brother took during the weekend. Enjoy!

Hmmm, one with DJ rear and one stock. So what did you end up running Rod?

Shocks wise, 40 or 50wt oil with 2hole pistons (I'm personally using 40wt oil with 3 hole pistons).
Make sure you run a decent amount of droop thought, with a decent ride height (say 5.5 - 6mm)...bumpy track needs it.
If you get stuck during the day, come over and say Hi, I'll be happy to help, I'l be pitting with a few guys who are also running 415's (Scho and TRF415boy... although they don't know that yet... )

Rod

The new car looks awesome, i hope it gets put into production. I like the 2nd pic with the pro module rear end. Do you know of an ETA on the production of more units?

@ Bad Boys:
Yup same for both the MS and Std car (I actually run a std one anyway).
Hope you liked the site, really should update it a bit with my TORC setups....

Errr...I don't know of production details and what not. I ran a "standard" 415MS with the Promodule Rear. It worked very well. The other guys built their cars like a day or two before and the first round of practice was the maiden voyage of the new cars.

I only wish MSX bulkhead won't let us wait as long as DJ arm did (last World to May, that's a longggg time... )

Default better rear diff

Hi guys, can someone give me the best parts to get a rear diff that lasts a "bit" longer than with the stock parts.

I mean in that way "longer time between rebuilds"..

Thanks !

get some atlas diff covers or make your own.
The main reason the diff becomes gritty is casue of the dirt that gets inside. Can do loads of runs on my diff before it needs a rebuild, since I put the homemade covers on.
Baring that, try ceramic diff balls too (any 3mm ones) will make the diff smoother.

Heya Guys.

Well i have finished building my 415!! All i need now is to make up a battery strap and i am all done.

One thing, i built the kit as per instructions, i was wondering if there was anyway to tighten the rear belt???

Also any set up tips for smooth asphalt?? Gearing for a 12x2 on this largeish track?

Thanks.

Glenn

Ran my MS today with the DJ rear end, big thanks to ed for the base setup. Got it lapping very nice from the start, the only slight problem was the rear wanting to come round as i exited the tighter corners if anyone can shed any light on that.

G'day, if you want to tighten the rear belt up you have to move the plastic bearing holder around a few notches that supports the rear diff, I'm pretty sure you have to turn it anti-clockwise.
