Mine spins pretty free, got favouable commets of some people regarding it.... hehe

What I did was to flush all the bearings out with motor cleaner, and then re-oil them using Zubaks Speed Lube... works wonders (you can get it through EA motorsports). If I take the belts out, everything spins super free.

Steve,
What's wrong with your scale?
According to my scale:

1-way+outdrives = 21 g
original speedtech spool = 19 g
new speedtech spool = 14 g

19-14 = 5 grams on my scale.

Atached is a pic of the 1-way as well as the old and new speedtech spools.

Anyone had any experience with aftermarket belts?

rcmaniax: Will your spool hold up to mod racing? If so, where can I get? I already use corally blades so the size sounds great.
Had the exact same problem with my front white belts, one only lasted 3 weeks before loosing teeth, i noticed it but didn't have time to change it before the finals, and it broke

I lost one of the little black sway bar holder, that holds the sway to the bulkhead. Does anyone have an extra one that I can buy off of?

Linger,

Well, you know...I don't have an engineering grade scale like you

But thanks for measuring those out for me.

The spools should be available by the end of the week (as early as tomorrow)

Woops! I picked up a spool a few weeks ago thinking that there may be a shortage for the upcoming Reedy Race. Now there's another version? Doh

The Standard blocks should be X to E if I'm not mistaken.

X is the narrowest, E is the widest, and each step (X, A, B, C...) is .5 degrees.

X/A = .5
A/A = 0
A/C = 1.0
A/E = 2.0

Toe in or toe out depends on which end the wider block is installed in.

There is another kit called the World Championship parts kit, that has narrower blocks, they are opposite, and have XA, XB, XC designations. In that kit, XA is the widest, XD (don't think they did an XE) is the narrowest.

Hope that helps.

There is also some good info on TryHard's site, linked in his signature.

Mike
