I personally have a Std car that is almost MS spec, bar the 2.5mm chassis. All the parts for upgrading the std car to MS spec are avaliable seperatly (including the LWT suspension set, part#TAM49346
... much cheaper than all the individual components put together).
For your needs, get the LWT suspension, most of the TRF drivers use the MS (with this suspension) on ashpalt, so that would probably be best.... Although thats not saying the standard suspension wil be crap on ashpalet, it's not, just the LWT is slightly better.

I ran my first race with the 415 this weekend and it's insane, managed to end up in 5th position in A-main modified from a 7th starting pos. Joel Myrberg where 6th after some problems, Jonas Andersson in 4th and Viktor Wilck 2nd, 1st and 3rd was more of some kind of locals :P Magnus Vassmar in first and Alexander Hagberg in 3rd.. I'm quite happy with my results, just after 10 packs through the car i'll see if i can post my setup later..
Another thing i thought of when buying some stuff from Rainbow Ten, which parts seem to break more often in a crash? I have one extra set of A-arms so those should be ok.

Will the 415 reign supreme?
O.K. I'm sure everybodys heard of Surikarn leaving Tamiya and going to HPI and I'm sure you heard that HPI is coming out with their own version of the 415, so if both Surikarn and Hara run the new HPI and Rhinhart and Spegetti runs TAMIYA 415 who will be at the podium in the first big asphalt race of the year ie REEDY?
Excuse me butchering the names!
In my opinion 1st. Surikarn, 2nd Hara, third Baker. Not a Tamiya in sight! Hey, I own a 415 so there is no favoritism here just my 2 cents

Hey guys.....
I currently have been racing my almost fully hopped TB Evo IV in stock and I've been very competitive with the car so I am moving into Modified. Unfortunately the Evo IV is really not suited to Modified running nearly as much as the 415 so I have pretty much decided to sell the Evo and get a 415MS.
If I were to get a 415MS, are they any sorts of parts that I need for the car for reliability and things like that?? Also..... what roughly are the size of the spurs/pinions that you use for the car in Modified?? Obviously there are quite a few parts that I can use on the 415MS that I have been using on my Evo IV and I have listed them below. Is there anything that I should be getting?? And.... what parts break the most?? I figure pulleys and belts, but this is my first belt car so I really don't have much of an idea of what breaks and what doesn't. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
Tamiya Evo IV Ti Screw Set
Tamiya Low Friction 5mm Adjusters all round Evo IV
Tamiya Ti Turnbuckles all round Evo IV
Tamiya Evo IV Stabilzer Rod Set
Tamiya Blue Stabilizer ends
Tamiya Evo IV Aluminium Servo Mount
Tamiya Flurine Coated Suspension Balls
Tamiya Rear 1 Degree Alloy Uprights
Square Front Uprights Alloy
Square 4 Degree Alloy C Hubs
Plus.... I have quite a few different 415 toe blocks as I was using them to lower the suspension on my Evo IV.
Thanks in advance!!

If the inner ratio on the MS is the same as the regular 415, you would probably need in 64p is 102 and 100 spurs, 26 to about 30 in pinions. Maybe a few lower on pinions
