did you grind off the bulk head?
smc 4000 just right no grinding.

There is no need to grind the bulk head when fitting the Orion 3200.
although i did grind it a little eventually to make things quicker and easier when changing packs in a rush.

Hey thanks guys for your setup advice, i got my car flawlessly dialed, the mazdaspeed 6 body helped and a couple setup changes and my MSX is at par with the 2 TC5 and X-ray pro drivers at my track, even slightly better.

As for the Lipo fitments. What about Orion 4200 platinum packs under the 415 bulkhead?

anyone knows the 3 racing C hub's part# for 415msx?



I mistakly brought 2 pairs of ta05's c-hub, the part# is TA05-17/LB. there is no way to fit those c-hub in 415. the shaft pin and inside hub hight are totally different.

I am considering cutting off the tops of the plastic ball cup joints for constant access to the studs underneath, but wondered if its going to weaken the plastic in the ball joint at all?

Also, does it allow much dirt ingress and wear the cups out prematurely?

Last question, what spur gears would be a good starting point for 27t, 19t, 13.5 and 10.5?

Outdoor tarmac track with a few hairpin corners, but mostly sweeping corners, I used 6.75 with a 27t monster stock and about 5.6 for a 19t (checkpoint with hard brushes) in my ta05.

I've seen people do it, and I don't think there is much difference in wear or strength compared to a normal ball connector. The low friction ones (gray) are stronger and better than the black standard ones.

I cut the top off the ball cup and it works great. Havent notice it being weaker or anything. In fact, I cruch one time and broken the tie rod instead of the cup...><.

I did it also and I haven't noticed any excessive wear. Comes in real handy when adjusting roll center.
